  • 1500W - ATX 3.1
Color: Black Size: 1500W Platinum Style: C Series ATX 3.1
After shopping around for a power supply that can handle a 4090 w/ a custom bios I window shopped around and found this PSU. Having previously owned the MEG Ai1300P PCIE5 and running into issues with the fan continuously spinning at 100% the power supply software not being able to regulate the RPM on the fan I decided to get this power supply. Having gone out of my comfort zone of only buying corsair PSUs I stumbled with MSI and landed on NZXT. What can I say? It hits the ball out of the park. It comes with a zero RPM toggle for those who care about that, no need for software or usb cables attached to the PSU. This power supply is insanely cheaper than the Corsair AX1600i and around the same price as a MEG Ai1300P PCIE5. I was decently surprised to see NZXT making quality power supplies, and I am happy they did. They entered the market at the right time. It's future proof providing two 16-Pin PCIe Gen 5.1 Cables for the upcoming next generation cards. The only thing I could say bad about it was that it doesn't bring sleeved cables, the default cables are braided, which for me is great as I have Cablemod extend kits coming out of the motherboard. I am using the provided 16-pin PCIe Gen 5.1 cables instead of custom sleeved cablemod 12VHPWR cables out of precaution. I will wait until custom modders or some vendor provides a neater looking 12vx6 cable. I did not watch any youtube review I just took the plunge and tried it out myself. It's always risky when you do that, but I can happily say I am not disappointed at all. ... show more

  • It powers my stuff and it doesn't randomly turn off
Color: Black Size: 1500W Platinum Style: C Series ATX 3.1
If you are like me, you have read/watched every PSU comparison/tier list you could find on the Innanet and you want to read reviews before putting this behemoth in your cart. Just go ahead and buy it. Don't let the "yOu DoNt NeEd A 1500W pSu" people talk you out of it. You don't use more wattage because the PSU is rated for a higher wattage - you only use what your crap is drawing. Yeah...it's probably overkill. Yeah...you could opt for a lower wattage "gold" rated PSU and be just fine with pretty much anything you can stuff inside your absurdly large Obsidian 9000D case. Get it because it uses quality capacitors, has a respectable warranty, is the latest and greatest ATX 3.1, is super duper efficient, and will give you plenty of overhead to grow your system. Don't buy it if you care about the ole NZXT rental scam. ... show more

  • Very disappointing PSU
Color: Black Size: 1500W Platinum Style: C Series ATX 3.1
Installed the NZXT C1500 Platinum using only the included cables. PC powered on, but SATA/peripheral output was faulty: my Corsair H115i Platinum pump would not start and showed a red error. The PSU also emitted a burnt smell and possibly sparked. After testing, the AIO works perfectly with my old Seasonic PSU, but the error caused by the NZXT is permanent and damaged a previously working cooler. Unacceptable for a premium, high-end power supply. ... show more

  • One of the best ATX 3.1 PSUs around!
Color: Black Size: 1500W Platinum Style: C Series ATX 3.1
Probably one of the best bang for your buck ATX 3.1 compliant PSUs you can buy. This ditches the fancy LEDs and screens that most newer ATX 3.1 PSUs come with, but this just churns out good clean power at super high efficiency. I have been using this PSU with my new Ryzen 9950X3D build along with my RTX 5090 and I've have zero issues. Highly recommend it! ... show more

  • Perfect match for GTX5090, two 12V-2x6 ports and cables, outstanding build quality
Color: Black Size: 1500W Platinum Style: C Series ATX 3.1
I've been building PCs for 20 years and I've always used Corsair PSUs which have been solid, I've never had one fail. But this time around, Corsair is just not the leader anymore, especially for digitally controlled PSUs. Lots of other options out there. I purchased the NZXT C1500 8 months ago to power my new ASUS Astral GTX5090 (installed in ASUS X870E-E motherboard with AMD 9800X3D). This PSU's build quality is outstanding. The cables are great, and specifically, I've had no issue with the 12V-2x6 cable and connector, they fit perfectly, firm but not too difficult in push in, but tight enough that I don't feel it will ever wiggle loose. The PSU is dead quiet. It's not cheap, but if you have a GTX50 series card, you probably should not cut corners on the PSU. ... show more

  • Great power supply. Take your time doing the install
Color: Black Size: 1500W Platinum Style: C Series ATX 3.1
Power supply came with all the required cables. Install instructions were easy to follow. Also look for online videos ion YouTube. Only thing to be aware of is the internal cables on your PC probably will not work with this PS There are warning labels on the PS saying to your the supplied new cables. It kind of defeats the purpose of modular cables, but everything worked first time. ... show more

  • Titanium-level Efficient Semi-Digital PSU with Great Value and a Fatal Flaw
Color: Black Size: 1500W Platinum Style: C Series ATX 3.1
From reviews online and my personal experience, this PSU is very efficient and incredibly quiet with zero-fan mode on. It's one of the cheapest semi-digital high-end PSUs on the market. If you want comparable performance from Seasonic, Super Flower, ASUS, etc., it will cost at least 50% more. However, this PSU has a fatal flaw: it's very, very hard to insert the 12VHPWR / 12V-2x6 cable into the PSU. If you don't insert it fully, you risk burning the PSU's 12VHPWR / 12V-2x6 16-pin port. I tried CableMod and Be Quiet's cable: they all went in very smoothly. The stock 16-pin 12V-2x6 cables need to be modified and NZXT should offer a free replacement or credit for customers to get a reputable third-party one. Minor complaint: for a high-end PSU like this, it would be nice to come with individually sleeved cables. I will change this review to five stars if NZXT fixes the 12VHPWR cable. ... show more

  • Two Defective Units
Color: Black Size: 1500W Platinum Style: C Series ATX 3.1
Had to reorder this as the first one came defective refusing to give any power to the SATA connection for my NZXT Kraken 420 elite and the PSU fan would not come down from max speed, the second one came and not only did it refuse to give power to my NZXT Kraken 420 elite again, it ALSO started an ELECTRICAL FIRE in my NZXT fan hub that came with my NZXT H9 Flow. You would think using the same brand would be able to power itself especially on two different connections neither worked and one started a fire. 15 years of computer building and I have never had an electrical fire until today. ... show more
