I absolutely love these files. They have a really nice Grit on one side and slightly finer grit on the other side. The side with the rougher Grit is nice because it files your nails really well to a fine powder, without creating ridges in your nails. The other side is less harsh butt also has enough Grit to file your nails without getting ridges in your nails. If you are looking for a file that has a side that is really for signing your nails or has a very minimal Grit then this may not be for you. This file really is to be used to really get in there and file down whatever you're filing.
