One of the nurses in the prep room for my bariatric surgery recommended I buy an abdominal binder, and it was an excellent recommendation. It helped me sit up right after the surgery, enabling me to return to work immediately after surgery (I’m a software developer, so sitting up would be the major cap on returning to work for me). It helped manage the pain of recovery, which is important, as I live alone and didn’t have nearby loved ones able to take care of me during the recovery process. It’s a little tricky to put on because it has a tendency to stick to itself, and boy does it pill over time (and if worn over an undershirt or shirt, it can cause some fabrics to pill more than others if you don’t get the Velcro completely over the binder). It’s machine washable, too, which is always a nice feature in something like this. ... show more

It's not comfortable but it an abdominal belt. It's not meant for comfort exactly. On the other hand, it is great support. It is easy to put on and take off. It is easy to wash and it hides well under a shirt.

My husband developed a small naval hernia and a wrap was recommended for him to use. You have to put some oomph into tightening it. But, once it’s in place, stays where you put it, doesn’t slide and that is some serious Velcro they made it with!!! Stretches to fit correctly if you measure first before you order. It has helped his pain so much! Might even be able to avoid surgery!!! Definitely recommend it and would definitely buy it again! ... show more

I mean it will work great but the question is for how long? So it sticks so good the velcro after once on and off lifted the material so much this would never hold up to being put on and off every day. In my opinion, you would have to step into it and stretch it up in place if you want it to last.
