I've setup and built hundreds of systems over the last 30 years and these rank up there with the best subwoofers I've worked with. They are well built with premium materials and perform well especially for the money. I can't think of another sub that can outperform them for the price. Highly recommend this subwoofer. In regards to the negative reviews, just remember that a majority of those are due to improper setups or from plain stupidity. After these break in, expect a big difference. Very nice looking speaker & well built. Excellent quality and heavy. Much better then my Kicker CVR's. Very easy set up and install was simple. You can't lose! Follow these reviews and save your money on high end name brands

It's an allright sub, I also bought a jad1200 powering it. It's loud at times? Not sure if it's just me or how I hooked it up? I tired to wire it two 2ohms but with a meter still telling me I have a 4ohm load???( I know how to use multi meters) or it's just my stereo I have (cheap dual) I'll give the speaker 3 stars for now, probably end up selling it and buying two 12s instead or somthing along those lines. update: i had the sub wired wrong (glad it didnt blow up :D ) dont ask me how i did that but i tried following digrams off crunchfields site and they seem to be miss leading. also upgraded my bass knob. planning on buying another one soon! great product! ... show more

    • Good sound questionable build quality

I love the sound quality but the build quality is questionable. I've had the speakers for over a year now and they really did their job which was round out my sound. I have a chuchero box on a 4 channel amp and it is so loud that it was drowning out my 12's. So I upgraded to 15's which is something that I felt that I would never do. They still function as they're supposed to do and they were easy to install. The problem is that on one of them the surround started splitting within the first week. It hasn't effected the sound but it's still coming apart. I'm going to put some flex tape on it and hopefully that holds it together. I'd still recommend them at this point because i like the sound quality. The other one seems fine so I don't know what's different about the one coming apart. I would give it a 5 if it weren't for that. I'm sure most others are like the one that's still perfectly in tact but I can't just let it go so i"m giving them a 3. Maybe if I informed them when it first happened, they would've rectified the situation with a repair or replacement but I was having trouble with some other speakers (Skar EVL) that I ordered which never arrived and I wasted 3 weeks of my life waiting for that i didn't want to chance it. ... show more

Still in the break in the period day 1 so i'll update this later. Matched 2 of these 15s dual 4ohms on a RF Punch 1000xBD (Birth sheet 1438 rms, shop i bought it from said it tested as 1501 rms) and they slam really hard for 15s tight like. Not hearing the lows but reviews i've read said you need to break them in first to get that to come out of them. We'll see even though doesn't seem to drop the lows too strong all other beats in the spectrum are crazy loud! Unboxing these things made me say whoa, they're big and extremely well built also pleasing to the eye. Put the in a Q Bomb sealed box 2 cu ft per side, I like sealed i'm more about SQ then SPL although standing in the door tuning my amp was blowing my shirt around a bit kind of impressed there. ... show more
