This thing is great for such a small package. Sure, it isn't 2 12s in the trunk. But it adds the lows and low-mid to the vehicle without consuming a cubic yard of space. I have a 2019 WRX and it fits under the seat but i must say, just barely. I am not sure it would have fit under the driver seat (more adjustable). but it does sound good. It actually hits pretty hard for 3" tall. I do not have it fully adjusted just yet. Its actually too loud right now for my prefs. but I would rather have it too loud but adjustable than not loud enough at max. It was easy to install. Set up is one of those things like any amp/speaker combo. you dont just turn it all up to 11 and roll down the street. We will see what happens with time though. ... show more

This thing absolutely sounds for what it is. 35 years in car audio, and wanted to try one of those and my distributor was out and had a customer that used his hatchback for work and needed some bass and could not give up space, so it was either one of the small under seat or this. I use the under seat all the time and figured I would try one of these and man what a surprise! This sounds like an old school single 10 on a couple hundred watts. No joke! Gets very low and loud. I like that I can get quality sub sound. This is not the Bang that the younger generation likes. It's not going to rattle your license plate but it will vibrate your mirrors. One point that I had to figure out on my own is that after initial install, the amp would not turn on at even at the lowest setting. I had to jump the 12volt power input to the REM input to get it to turn on. After that, I have not had any issues. Overall, it is a good buy for the money and very well built. So, the “500w” is laughable. With the supplied 15amp fuse, using math, this can put a max of 200w. When i hooked it up, it sounded good. So that’s the plus side. The port? Well, it’s not even real. When in use, you should feel air coming out if this. You don’t. Which makes me feel it’s not even a real port. The best part? The case was energized. When i mounted it to the floor, i immediately blew a fuse. Checked it with my multimeter… and sure enough. Sucked because it DID sound good. Just not safe to install. First off let me say this is my third NVX product and I would compare them to alpine products for a much more affordable price. This NVX sub amp combo was super easy to install and sounds great! If you are looking to round out the over all sound of your vehicle (not rattle doors) then this will work great. It’s a big improvement to my 2012 F150. One thing I didn’t understand was the on off switch on the amp, but you will want to leave it off if you have a remote wire from your stereo to the REM input on the amp. Tuning this wass super easy with built in knobs. It took me about 1 hour to install everything. Overall very happy! ... show more

I bought this not long ago after doing some research on a compact box for my truck. It work great for the first few weeks. I never really did anything crazy with it. After I felt like it “broke in” I finally played a song to test it out and it completely blew up. There’s parts broken off inside of it. Electrical shorts on the board and will blow the fuze for the sub and wiring harness. I bought a wiring harness off Amazon that they recommended and installed it correctly. I have had many subwoofers in the past and never seen anything like this. ... show more
