This is the best all-around induction cooker available, and it will spoil you. It's intuitive and lets you change temperature in 5 degree steps, giving you near-perfect control. The temperatures aren't perfectly accurate, but they are very consistent! For example, on mine, I have to set the burner to 205 degrees to obtain a perfect 213 degree simmer, which it holds consistently for hours if necessary. You will need a very accurate thermometer to use this burner as it should be used. I like the Thermopop and Fluke no-touch thermometers to see what the actual temperatures I'm cooking at are. The Breville Polyscience induction cooker is even more accurate (allegedly to 1 degree) but no more consistent. They both hold constant temperatures once you get them going. I love them both, but I use the NuWave more, mostly because it can get seriously hot ("sear" on mine is about 650 degrees, which is enough for some wok cooking). No other induction cookers I've seen work anywhere near as well as these two.

I like cooking on this - even tho I was a die-hard gas cooktop user. The only negative is the fan noise. Takes a little while to get used to the temp settings, but seems to respond quickly. Bought it to see if I like induction enough to replace my normal 5 burner gas cooktop and the answer is Yes!

I love to cook and do so almost daily, and this portable cooktop provides versatility in terms of space and using burners on my stove. I am really impressed with the features and functionality of this induction cooktop and will share my impressions below: The control buttons are easy to understand and operate, and there is a laminated chart provided for the necessary keystrokes to set certain features, like Fahrenheit or Celsius, locking the cooktop, or resetting any error messages (which I have not encountered). I like that precise temperatures can be set in addition to the general cooking labels of Low through High, and the temperature can be changed instantly during cooking. It also allows you to pause-and-resume cooking if you need to, as well as set different wattages based upon your needs or if using the cooktop in conjunction with other appliances on the same circuit. This cooktop has a super fast heating element, and my cast iron Dutch oven was heated to its smoking point within a few minutes. It’s also equally impressive with its cooldown time. Within 5 minutes of removing the pot, I was able to brush the burner with my bare fingers without searing them, and at 10 minutes I could touch the burner for a longer period of time as it was just warm by then. (Of course, I am NOT recommending anyone should ever touch a hot burner!) My normal stovetop takes at least 20-25 minutes to cool to the point of touching it, and the shorter cooling time of this portable cooktop is really amazing. This feature is especially nice since we have kittens who scamper across everything and I worry they’ll burn themselves. I imagine it would be a great feature to have for someone living in a dorm or small apartment, too. Also, the counter upon which I used this cooktop was not hot or damaged at all, and the portable cooktop has nice traction as it did not slide across the counter when using it. The cooktop is very easy to clean and store. It is a smooth surface that can be wiped down of splatters, and it is a fairly slim device that fits in a cupboard or a pantry shelf. Most of all, I really like the versatility of cooking multiple items at once this portable cooktop provides. I often have need to use at least three burners on my stove, but I do not like reaching to use the back ones when I have the front burners in use. Now, I can just use the front burners along with this portable cooktop on my counter and everything is within easy reach. Overall, I appreciate the remarkable design of this induction cooktop and will use it often in my cooking endeavors. From its temperature control to its ease of use and universal functionality, this Nuwave Pro Chef Portable Cooktop is a superior appliance and I highly recommend it.

This is an amazing burner and addition to my kitchen! I will admit to being completely clueless to the fact that I needed certain pans for this and it took some time to get the appropriate gear. But now that I have 3 different pans to use with this burner I am so happy! It brings water to boil rapidly, fries quickly, simmers fabulously, and keeps things warm without scorching -- can't ask for more! I do worry that it only has a 2 prong plug rather than a 3 prong cord - but I've not had any problems with it so far. I love how you can lock the buttons so the temp can't be accidently changed. The fan is helpful so the burner doesn't get too hot. I usually just clean the top with a damp towel and it comes clean easily & quickly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND 👍😁👍 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
