I greatly prefer meals at home and typically cook two meals a day, every day. I have a diverse selection of very nice pots and pans, some of which are renowned for their quality and expense. I have got to say these Nuwave Essential Series 5PC Ceramic Cookware have become my favorite and I now use them far more than any of my other cookware. Yes, they are PFAS-Free, have a durable non-stick coating (that is freaking terrific), have Stay-Cool Handles, and are Dishwasher Safe. But what is it like to cook with them? Well, let me tell you; They heat up quickly, and they heat up evenly. They are heavy enough that they have excellent heat retention, but they are not so heavy that picking them up and moving them is a chore. Their cooking characteristics are excellent, and they just plain, “cook food very well”. I still use a minimum of butter or oil, but that is mostly from habit, and I also believe “fat is flavor”. There are nubs on the underside of the lids. They apparently are there to add flavor by collecting moisture and evenly dripping it back on the food. I never use metal utensils with this cookware, or any cookware that has a non-stick coating. The stainless-steel handles stay cool to the touch, and are comfortable to use. Nuwave claims this cookware is oven-safe up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s good, but there is other cookware I have for oven-use that I would prefer to use. Clean-up of these pans is so easy, that it entices me to go ahead and cook those dishes that I use to dread, and even avoid, because of the difficulty of cleaning up after. Not anymore. Clean-up amounts to the effort it takes to wipe them out with a dish cloth. I can completely remove all hints of the food that was cooked using a paper towel, but I use soap and water, of course, for sanitation. You never use any scrubbers or abrasives on this type of cookware. You won’t need them anyway. This Nuwave Essential Series Ceramic Cookware Set is “Dishwasher Safe”, but why bother when it is so easy to clean? The 7QT stock pot comes with its own lid. The second lid fits both the 5QT "everyday" pan, and the 12” Fry Pan. These lids are made of solid metal, they fit perfectly, and they use the same Duralon Blue Ceramic non-stick coating that make this cookware so awesomely easy to clean. I greatly prefer solid metal lids over glass see-through lids, and find that glass see-through lids are a real pain to clean. This cookware, is extremely well-built and feels like it will last for years, if properly used and maintained. The purple “Eggplant” color looks great, and this cookware would look good in any kitchen. This Nuwave Essential Series Ceramic Cookware Set is not cheap, but it cooks so well, is such a pleasure to use, and is such an asset in the kitchen, I feel it is a great value.

I recently ordered the New Wave 5-piece cookware set in a gorgeous eggplant color, and I’m really impressed with it! As someone who loves to cook, this set checks all the boxes for me. The pans are versatile enough to go from my induction burner to the stove, straight into the oven, and back to any heating element without a hitch. One standout feature is the unique, lightweight lid that’s designed to self-baste. The steam hits the lid, condenses, and drips back onto your food, keeping everything nice and moist. I also own another set from New Wave, and I’ve been consistently happy with their quality. The set includes a big, heavy-bottomed brazier and a 7-quart saucepan that feels great in hand, with sturdy rivets and all-metal handles that can handle high heat. I tested the induction compatibility with a magnet, and it sticks like glue—perfect for my setup! I love using the saucepan for slow-cooked dishes like ragu in the oven. It reduces beautifully and really enriches the flavors. The coating is called Duron Blue, and according to the brand, it’s completely safe and non-Teflon. The documentation also says these are dishwasher-safe, though I’ve heard mixed opinions on. I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s nice to know it’s an option. There was a minor flaw with the paint on one piece, but I’m confident New Wave’s customer service would handle it if I reached out. Overall, I’m thrilled with this set—it’s functional, beautiful, and performs like a dream. I think you’ll love it as much as I do! I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. It's honestly that good. If you own a Nuwave induction cooker, I can't think of a better pairing and I've used a number of different brands over the past few years. The one thing I noticed with some pans which are labeled as induction compatible is that they don't maintain the heat long enough. In other words, as the induction cooker sends waves of energy to the pan, a quality pan will never allow you to see those waves of energy. A thin pan will sizzle momentarily then completely stop as if you've turned the power off. That's not the way you want to cook a steak. While some other brands have done a decent job, price became irrelevant. One of the most expensive pans I've tried was horrible on the induction cooker. So. . . the coating is exceptional, not just because it is PFAS-Free, but absolutely nothing stuck. I didn't use an ounce of butter, oil, nothing. It was a dream to cook on and cleaned with a little mild soap and warm water. I never had to go beyond 300 degrees to seer and cook my steak. . . and I dropped it down to about 280 to cook the middle just perfect. I dare say this has been the best pan I've cooked with yet. Holds heat extremely well. You'd never know you were cooking on an induction cooker. Do not underestimate the quality of this series of pans in the Nuwave line. I'm giving away a lot of my cookware to make room for these. Simply outstanding. I would caution anyone using pans never to go to the High setting on your cooktop because regardless of the brand, you're bound to damage the surface of your pan. You really don't need to go to high, but if you feel the need, use stainless.
