Got this projector and set it up for a movie night tonight. Got the popcorn, drinks, candy, and blankets out for a full outdoor movie experience and it was a blast. It was strong enough to handle dusk which I’ve found can be tricky. The video quality was amazing as well. Only thing I can’t speak on is the speaker quality since I wired it directly to an Anker boombox and it matched perfectly and gave plenty of power there!     • Bluetooth sound lags and can’t hook up to external sound source
I bought with the intention of hooking up to external sound bar. I have numerous options and thought it would be easy. Every Bluetooth option we’ve tried has a delay. The sound doesn’t align with the picture. So that leaves us with a wired option. The projector doesn’t have an Arc out. Nor an optical. It has a headphone jack, and we hooked up but it’s such a limited and antiquated tech. We’re out of our return window for Amazon since we bought for Christmas, and it’s been winter so we haven’t had a chance to experiment. But we want to use it over the summer to put on movies at our pool. But that won’t work if we can’t get an external sound source. If we can return and upgrade to a system with arc or better Bluetooth, I will gladly change my review. But right now I am stuck with a projector without an external sound option. Update: AuKing reached out and sent me a portable speaker with a basic aux cable which does plug in well. I wish the bluetooth did work better, but the Aux solution did work very well. ... show more

    • Two Years Later & Still a Household Favorite — Total Movie Theater Vibes!
I didn’t expect to still be using this projector as much as I do two years later—but it’s honestly become a staple in our home. My husband and I use it all the time at night to throw on a movie, and it turns our wall into a mini movie theater. It’s one of those purchases that never gets old. The picture quality is bright, clear, and sharp, and the auto-focus makes setup effortless every single time. We usually plug in our Roku stick, and it’s super easy to get everything going. The sound quality also surprised me. It’s loud and immersive enough that we don’t even feel the need to use external speakers, which says a lot for a projector at this price point. What really stands out is how well it’s held up over time. After two years of regular use, we’ve had zero issues. It still performs just as well as when we first got it, which says a lot about the build quality. The only thing to keep in mind is that you’ll get the best picture in a darker room, so it’s not ideal for very bright daytime viewing—but for evening use, it’s perfect. Best for: movie nights, bedrooms, and anyone wanting an easy at-home theater setup Not ideal if: you need something for bright daytime viewing If you’re deciding between this and other budget projectors, this one stands out because it actually holds up long-term, not just right out of the box. I’m honestly really impressed with this projector. The picture looks great, it focuses fast, and it was super easy to set up. The built‑in stand is actually really handy — I didn’t have to stack anything or fight with the angle. Streaming works smoothly, no weird lag or connection issues. For the price, it feels like a total win. And just to note, the space in my video is a temporary setup, but even in that little makeshift spot, the projector still looked awesome. They completely misrepresent the brightness of this unit. The website says 4000 ANSI Lumens, but the box says 2200. I suspect that is exaggerated as well

Is this the best projector out there? No, but for the price I'm very satisfied with the quality and function. I tested this thing to its absolute limits: lettering on a 22 foot wide wall. Is this projector made for that? Once again, no, but it handled it like a champ! It was very easy to connect my tablet and put up the picture I needed. The connection stayed solid the whole time (and we're talking hours of continuous use). The quality in the advertised optimal area is great, overall clear and sharp with the exception of the corners. The farther you push it obviously the worse the quality is and the less bright it is, but if you're looking to use this to watch movies at night that aren't 22 feet wide it'll get the job done for a good price. In terms of entertainment value this thing is hard to beat. I love the remote and the tripod mount too. ... show more

    • Great for the price
As long as your expectations are realistic, this is pretty great. There are a couple of things to be aware of, so take these into account. 1) I exclusively am using a Fire Stick to stream content. It works. 2) Pairing a bluetooth speaker to the projector wasn't great. I got it to pair the first time pretty easily, but I had trouble reconnecting the speaker. I ended up pairing the speaker to the Fire Stick, that works seamlessly. 3) The software corner correction function works better than the physical keystone adjustment. The only way I can get the entire image to stay in focus is to leave the keystone in the middle of its range. Unfortunately, the projector does not remember the corner correction settings after it is turned off, so I have to reset them every time. 4) It always turns on to the projector menu, not the last input selected. Since I need to redo the corner correction, I would have to go to the menu anyways, but it would be nicer if it would turn back on with the previous state (remembering the corner correction and the previously used input) 5) It's fine for a dark room or after dark. You need to spend more $$$ to get a projector that will work for daytime viewing. ... show more
