I have used a NOX 800 for a few years. I found this Simplex fairly difficult to learn and use. Sure, you can turn it on and go find stuff....but some of the functions were a challenge for me. Anyway, it's a good machine and it does what its supposed to do!

For the price, it can't be beet for a single frequency detector! You won't find a better deal then the Simplex Ultra. My only problem was the bent pin in the coil wire. Had to exchange with zero issues. I have found tons of worthless iron, a piggy bank size of coins and zero pieces of gold with this machine so far.
