Description

The NOCO BG24 is a Group 24 battery box for automotive, marine, RV, deep- cycle, and lithium-ion batteries, including cars, boats, campers, travel trailers, pontoon batteries, and more. This battery box features an all-new rugged and snap-lock design making it more durable and easier to install than ever before. Its simplified mounting allows for installation without a battery strap using pre-drilled internal pilot holes or a battery strap mount for more demanding applications. It safely protects batteries from unwanted battery movement, accidental shorting of battery terminals, collects battery acid, and allows adequate ventilation. And it meets with the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Code of Federal Regulations 183.420 and American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) E-10.7 specifications. It includes the BG24 Group 24 Battery Box, 48-Inch Battery Hold-Down Strap, Battery Mounting Tray, and Four (4) 8x1-Inch Self-Tapping Screws.

First thing I noticed was the thickness of this battery box. Much thicker and sturdier than the flimsy OEM boxes. Next, I checked out the contents, and the box includes the strap, a mounting plate, some self-drilling screws, and a small instruction sheet. I put the box on the bracket on my travel trailer, and it fit perfectly. Now the real test- the battery itself. I'm pleased to say my EverStart Group 24 deep cycle battery fit like a glove! Almost like these were made for each other. I used the strap to secure the lid to the box, and the whole thing to the bracket. Voila! This battery box seems like it was built to last. I bet it would be perfect for a boat, too. And the price was right. Definitely recommend if you have a group 24 battery. Buy it! ... show more

    • This is the second one and my battery still does not fit. Just 1 inch on each side.

I like the case I received I measured the battery when I made the order. Now if the second case that I ordered should have fit I measured the dimensions before the second one ordered. So I I need to know if the measured distance on the size of the battery case is inside or outside detention.

We got this for the marine battery that serves as a backup for our electric driveway gate and couldn't be happier - especially for the price! As you can see in the picture it's deflected/protected it from water and dirt. It's located under our back patio deck. It comes with a strap in case you use it on a trailer or something. Don't waste money on more pricey ones if it's just going to sit around and not travel or go on a boat. Totally worth it. Glad I took a chance! ... show more

I used this to build an expansion battery for my power stations. This fit the bill nicely. I'm not going to mount it, as it will move around. The lid snaps on nice and strong, though I did use the strap to be certain that is stays closed. The openings for power cables were conveniently placed.
