It took me a while to write this review because I wanted to use it first. I have jumped a stranger's car, my wife's 96 Roadmaster and my F150 on a single charge. All fired right up once it was hooked up. This thing really works. The most difficult part of the process is popping the hood. It is a snap to recharge and holds a charge for months. I got the optional case - strongly recommend it as it holds the charger and instruction book. Have yet to try it on my bass boat. As one who has had to dig through the trunk in the winter for a set of jumper cables, then find a willing "donor" and then try to get things lined up so that connections can be made (tough when only one vehicle will move) - this device is almost Harry Potterish. Not sure how long it will last but have had it a couple of years and it is as good as new ... show more

Worked first try on a Honda Civic, drained 1 bar from the indicator as expected. Only complaint is minor and when I store it, I can't tell if the power button might be pressed and leave the unit on unintentionally.

    • Skeptical but wow
I don't write reviews, but I'm going to on this thing. I have a huge jacked up 4x4 dodge big hemi motor. Been having issues with electrical, battery keeps dying. I saw these did some reviews and thought well its wroth a shot. Says do a 7.0 liter which is a little bigger than what I have (bigger better) said it will do a dead battery. No way. My dodge was so dead the key lock would open the door lock. Hooked it up and it fired right up. I mean this Lil thing is so small worked. I unhooked it the trucked died cause the alternator had had enough to charge. Tried it again though ti be completely dead to jump... Did it 4 times as a test and only one light bar was down... It takes a while to charge from a wall charger but damn! Buy one buy one for you mother in law that could save them! Best thing I have bought on here! ... show more

    • EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! ONLY GET 1 JUMP BEFORE NEEDING TO RECHARGE IT
Currently I am having issues with my 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T HEMI not starting as it should. In January, I Purchased this as a stand-by to help me out until I could get to the shop. Unfortunately, I became ill and unable to do anything or go anywhere…ended up being in the hospital for a week….then needed time to recuperate…..it is now May and I can FINALLY be active! I have had to use this each time I tried to start my car as I was told to start it every now and then. Today was my first time getting to drive in months….had a doctors appointment. Had to rinse all the pollen, dirt etc etc off my car just to be able to see out the window….of course had to jump it. Then I recharged the jumper. 3 hours later I had to leave for my appointment only to find it wouldn’t start again. Thank god I had recharged the jumper because I had to use it to get to the appointment. Was there about an hour….only to leave and find out my car wouldn’t start AGAIN. This time it would not start until the 3rd try. Made it home and recharged the jumper and it was only on 1 red box. Each and every time I have jumped my car I have had to immediately recharge it or be in a pickle if I had to leave the house. What good is a jumper if you only get one jump before having to recharge it? I’m extremely disappointed I forked out over 200$ for this. A waste of money as I could have purchased a less expensive one that would have actually done the trick…but I went for the brand name instead…..my mistake! (My car had been worked on in November and had this issue ever since. But as stated, I was simply physically unable to return to the shop. Tomorrow I will be going there…finally). Regardless…this has proven, in my opinion, to be a waste of money and extremely frustrating. ... show more

I haven't used this to jump start anything yet. I may never have to but it's a good thing to have in the car in case you need it and a lot cheaper than calling road service. It fits easily in the glove box.
