This set looks great displayed on a table. The glass is textured and really pretty. The gold tray is sturdy, but it is a little shaky to carry them all together because there's a little extra space between the dishes. Since this will most likely be displayed and not carried around for serving, that's not a big deal to me. The only thing I'm a little disappointed with are the forks. I thought they were cute in the product photos and they were actually the thing that sold me on the set, but they're very thin, seem a little cheap, and the design on the handle almost seems backwards, like the backs of the forks are more decorative. The set would be so much better with a slight improvement in those- maybe even a set that includes some spoons along with forks. ... show more

I got this set to serve nuts and cheeses when we have guests. I like it better than trying to use a flat board or tray. It gives depth and height to the presentation. The bowls are roomy and hold quite a lot for cheese and nuts. With six compartments it's good for variety. The bowls are glass and feel sturdy enough. The tray is metal wire. It's sturdy, but it has an open wire bottom. I think I would have preferred a solid bottom, in case I want to put something more liquid in it like dips. Any drips or spills will go right onto the table or floor without a solid bottom. This looks great on the table and is generic enough to go with many different styles of decor. ... show more

Absolutely gorgeous set. The glass bowls are thick and seem to be of nice quality. I do wish they fit a little more closely together. There is enough room between that they slide around when moved. The forks are cute too but of much lower visual quality than the rest of the set. They’re super thin and look like they have cheap gold spray painted on, I can actually see the silver coming through on one. It’s too bad because they would be the perfect addition to this set. I wouldn’t really want to serve guests with these forks. Also, regarding the bowls themselves, they fit a full 8 ounces of liquid. Just in case anyone was wondering. The measurements in the description are either off or maybe for solids? I personally ordered this set because it can so well double as a mis-en-place station. If you cook a lot you will understand. Having all the dishes together in one place will hopefully cut down on mess and help with organization. In summary, this set is just perfect (except the forks, I’m pretty disappointed in those and I didn’t even realize they were included). It will be great for serving or for food preparation. This is a great set for serving a variety of foods for a variety of themed meals. Taco night? These six 10oz textured, square bowls are fantastic for taco toppings. Are you responsible for bringing a fruit/veggie tray to a get together? Easy peasy with these 6 bowls in a pretty tray. Yes, they do jiggle around a bit, but the bowls are fairly sturdy, so as long as you're careful, no problem. These are great for a bunch of different dips or small sauces. I agree with other reviewers, the forks are not very sturdy and I'll have to think real hard about whether or not I actually want to use them.
