This insert ended up not being thick enough. We had to put extra 2x4s under the bed to give it support, even though it had slats the bunk bed came with already. It ended up working fine for her hangout spot on the top bunk. I bought a thick $40 mat to go over this to make it look nice since we aren’t buying another mattress.

Extremely easy to assemble. Just unfold it out of the box. Provides mattress support on a slatted platform bed without adding additional height to the mattress. Great for low profile beds. Also, solid material appears less flimsy than a regular bunkie board made of cardboard. Unsure if it makes noise because I haven’t slept on the bed yet. So far would recommend.

Well at first I thought, hey these are decent, a bit pricey but ok. Then I removed them from the box. Still thinking ok. Not bad they have a little strap tethering them together. Then… They gently flung open, causing the staples that help the straps to the boards to start popping out. Then one board flipped back and the strap actually broke the board. Still usable but disappointing, They smell to high hell like chemicals for like a week.

I got this as some extra support under my little one’s bed. I didn’t care for how far apart the original slats were and wanted to make sure there was plenty of support. This is super easy to add under the mattress on top of the original supports and I feel it makes a fair amount of difference in the sturdiness. It also makes it so the sheets don’t hang down between the normal slats. It’s not super thick but combined with the other supports I’m much more comfortable getting on the bed to read stories with my little one. It fit perfectly in the twin bed frame. Very happy with this.
