Living in a small apartment, I can’t drill into concrete walls, and I don’t have room for a huge bulky safe — and this one fits perfectly. It arrived in double-walled packaging with zero damage, and it comes fully pre-assembled. All you do is install the batteries, register your fingerprint (works perfectly every time), set your passcode, and you’re ready to go. It also includes two backup keys plus an external battery pack, giving you four different access methods total. The fingerprint scanner is extremely accurate. I even had my roommate try to trick it, and it didn’t budge at all. The safe is surprisingly lightweight — easy enough for me to move around alone — yet still very solid, thanks to its welded steel build and three strong locking bolts. I mounted it to the wall using the built-in mounting holes, and the whole process was straightforward. Inside, the removable shelf lets me store my AR and shotgun side by side. The door pockets fit my Hellcat plus spare magazines perfectly. There’s also a small built-in LED light that provides just enough visibility in the dark without being overly bright. I added a moisture-absorbing dehumidifier pack too, which the user manual actually recommends — really thoughtful detail. Their customer service was impressive as well. I emailed them about resetting my passcode, and they replied within a day with friendly, helpful support. For only $180, this safe checks every box. It keeps firearms out of sight from curious guests and makes it tough for any thief to pry open. It’s not fireproof, but that’s totally reasonable at this price range. Very misleading. There is no light inside this cabinet and the bio pad does not unlock it. It's key only. The key pad and bio pad is simply a type of alarm system. My cabinet did not even come with instructions and it was dented. Also the square handle feels cheap. I will be replacing it.

I've got a big $800 safe in the basement, but I needed something for the bedroom closet – quick access for my nightstand gun and a couple of hunting rifles. This little unit is a steal. Packaging was flawless, and zero assembly – just pulled it out of the box, popped in the shelf, and programmed the fingerprint reader. And let me tell you, that biometric scanner is no joke. It reads my print even after I've been out in the cold all morning. You've got three ways in: fingerprint, code, or backup keys, plus that genius external battery pack if the internal batteries die. I used bigger lag bolts than what came in the box to anchor it to the wall and floor – the pre-drilled holes made it super easy. The folded and welded construction feels way stronger than those cheap bolt-together cabinets. I took out the lower shelf to fit my scoped rifles, and they sit fine at a slight angle. The door holsters hold my Glock 19 and a revolver, and the little interior LED light is just bright enough to see without lighting up the whole room. It's light enough to move around but still secure. Main job? Keep my grandkids out when they visit. Nailed it. I even emailed the seller about an extra shelf – got a response in a few hours. For the money, you can't go wrong. Buy it.

It came in double-layer cardboard – no dents, no scratches – and fully assembled. All I had to do was put in batteries, set my fingerprint (scans fast every time, even with dry hands), and bolt it to the wall studs using the pre-drilled holes. The steel is folded and welded, not bolted together, so it feels seriously solid for the price. You get three locking pins, a backup key, a keypad, and even an external battery pack in case the internal ones die. That’s real peace of mind. Inside, the removable shelf fits my shotgun with a long barrel, and the door has pistol pouches plus small pockets for mags. It’s light enough to move by myself, but heavy enough that a thief would need tools. Best part? My toddler can’t get anywhere near my guns. For a starter safe that actually works, this is it. Highly recommend.
