I purchased the Langger V rifle cabinet after reading some good reviews about it. I purchased it with the realistic notion that this is a small and simple gun cabinet for storing firearms to keep them safe out of reach of children. It is by no means a heavy duty or fire proof safe for storing your most precious items but it serves it's purpose well for what it is intended, to keep prying eyes and hands away from your firearms and to give you quick access to them if needed. It has a relatively small footprint, perfect for a closet, and I like that about it. It will easily store 5-6 rifles in the bottom section and has an adjustable shelf for storing ammo or magazines above as well as a small lockable compartment at the top. I will comment that if you have rifles/shotguns with optics then that will require you to stand them up at an angle for the door to close since it is a small safe. Realistically you can hold 3-4 rifles with optics in this cabinet, with the possibility of 1 more rifle/shotgun with just iron sights. I added 2 battery powered motion sensor led lights as mentioned by another reviewer and that has been a great addition to be able to see inside clearly in low light conditions, I highly recommend this addition. The customer service team is quick to help or answer questions and will send you a door mounted organizer with holsters for hand guns and pouches for small items/documents/user manuals etc. if you register your rifle cabinet. It is a welcome addition to take advantage of the small space in the safe for storing more items. This rifle cabinet is good for what it is, a small storage unit for keeping your guns safe out of your kids hands and for that I give it 5 stars for what you get for the price. The digital keypad lock works well for quick access and is easy to program.

Safe came well packaged with no damage. Much easier to have help in moving especially going down the stairs. It's a must to attach to a wall or floor or you risk the unit falling forward. The enclosed expansion bolts are best used in concrete. I recommend using lag bolts if you attach to wall studs or floor. Don't attach to just the drywall as it's be too easy to rip out of the wall. If you place your safe on the basement cement I recommend attaching pressure treated 2x4's to the base to limit the risk of rust occurring. As others have noted this is not the type of safe that thieves can't steal. Except for the door the walls are relatively thin. This is a safe designed to keep kids out and house several rifles. If you have any AR style rifles you won't be able to store more than 2 or 3. The felt covered foam on the bottom does a good job of cushioning the rifles and the fabric lined shelf in the locked box is nice. Might want to line the movable shelf with felt as well as the inside walls to limit any scratches to your guns. Overall my first impressions are this is a quality small gun safest a very affordable price point that does what it's advertised to do but with the caveat that if you have AR style rifles it will limit the number of rifles you can store. Also, if you register your safe for the warranty there is a good chance they will send you a free door panel organizer.

Good safe but keep in mind like other cheaper safes on here you aren't getting anything a thief with some time couldn't drill through. However, it does a great job of fulfilling legal requirements without breaking the bank and keeping most people from getting access to your guns. I also really like the lockbox portion at the top. The secondary pistol tray is easy to install. The door doesn't swing open fully FYI; seems all safes on here with that design are similar. The locking mechanism is easy and straightforward. You have an electronic numeric lock and then the handle you have to turn. And you can have pass codes over 6 digits, which is nice for enhanced security. I definitely recommend mounting it as an anti-theft measure (the safe isn't too hard to just pick up and carry, though definitely not easy; you at least need decent strength if alone), and because it will not be very steady. I managed to rig some stupid setup that works for me, but yeah, definitely mount. It comes with a bunch of mounting hardware. Also, there is a battery backup you can use to access your safe via the keypad if the batteries inside run out. There's also an emergency key. I noticed some people claiming you can store guns with optics attached, which may be true for a typical rifle without a pistol grip, but for an AR with just a red dot sight I had to rotate the gun about 30 degrees to fit inside. 26" barrel shotgun is a close fit, with no room for the pistol tray. Make sure you double check the dimensions of your firearms and the safe. LAST NOTE; VERY IMPORTANT -- The box the safe comes in is labeled "RIFLE SAFE" all over in giant letters. Mercifully, my UPS driver hid it around back of the house where no one could see it while delivering. If you don't want any old passerby or your neighbors or potential hooligans knowing of your firearms, make sure you're home for the delivery or ask for inconspicuous, generic packaging.

"THE ULTIMATE PROS" When I received my safe I didn't get a shelf, I sent an email to the customer service department at 6:45pm at night and got a reply back... 1 1/2 hours latter... honestly thats amazing. I was expecting an answer within 24 hours, but 1 1/2 hours later shows real dedication. And I commend Adam for all his help and patience in rectifying the inconvenience. "THE PROS" This is not a heavy duty safe that can survive an actual attempt of a break in. This is NOT that type of safe, this is a regular at home safe to hold multiple weapons and some valuables. Its digital lock, which is easy to setup and is more than efficient at keeping unwanted and hands out of it. It comes with two keys for the main door, a set of smaller keys for the smaller lockbox inside the safe. It comes with a backup battery pack incase the batteries for the lock die. Another buyer didn't like this, I think this is a great idea! In the case your batteries die you don't have to get the key. You can simply use the battery pack and enter the code for your safe instead, while still keeping the safe key hidden. This safe can comfortably hold 4 to 5 long weapons depending on their attachments and are at least 33 inches tall. And uses a simple foam insert. Yeah its cheap but it works and is a more affordable solution than buying something better on amazon. As said before this a simple gun safe not meant to keep out criminals with tools and time to work, but to keep out kids and unauthorized people in general. So needless to say it comes with mounting screws to secure it to the wall. Pro tip, find a support beam in the wall and secure it to that. "THE CONS" The safe its self came with little rubber dots to keep the metal door from banging against the frame. But the little rubber dots weren't enough. So I had to add a few rubber dots for a more secure door with no metal clanging together. The bottom of the safe is bare metal so make sure to have a surface ready for it to stand on. I have rubber adhesive feet that I bought on amazon and stuck it to the bottom of the safe. This is a small pet peeve, but I wish the smaller door would have a little handle to open it with. Using the key to unlock it and open isnt a big deal but im very particular. So I bought a magnetic handle for it. "FINAL THOUGHTS" If you dont have many weapons and need a simple safe with a quality digital lock, has a shelf and a little built in lockbox... do yourself a favor and pick this one up. The price point is just right. Especially since most rifle safes don't have a shelf but THIS ONE DOES. But if your the kind of guy that has an arsenal large enough to arm a small militia, needs a safe to stand up to safe cracking criminals and house fires. This is not for you.

Overall I’d say this safe does exactly what it says it will do: keeps guns safe. I am satisfied with the safe for general-purpose gun storage. It is sturdy enough to discourage a casual thief or over-curious house guest. It is easy enough to get into with the proper code and/or key; after a couple of tries it has already become second-nature. The safe itself isn’t terribly heavy, and I was able to move it up and down stairs myself with a bit of effort (I suspect that is not recommended, however). It was packaged well, and unboxing was easy. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I do have two small critiques: The primary reason I bought this safe over others in a similar price range was the included interior lock-box, and it’s fine for my purposes. I do wish the little door was given a little more attention, though. It rattles around pretty easily, and I don’t like the noise. I will fix the problem myself with the simple addition of a strip of cloth or padding glued to the interior of the door frame where metal touches metal; that should do the trick. Secondly, there is an included shelf, which is also very handy. Two mounting positions are provided beneath the lockbox. I have longer guns which make the lower option unusable in my case, but could be fine for some shotguns. The higher option is juuuuuuuust barely able to clear the muzzle of one of my rifles if placed exactly right, and if I don’t put it away in a precise manner the muzzle brake rubs against the included felt-covered shelf. This can also be fixed easily enough with the addition of some bolts over the screw holes to lift the shelf and give it a few millimeters more of clearance. That said, it would be nice if the shelf had some other method of height adjustment. In conclusion, for a decent safe with some flexible storage options, this safe has served me well. If anything comes up over the next few weeks, months, or years, I may dip back into this review for an update.

This is in essence a heavy duty gun locker as it has single layer sheet metal construction with minimal, if any, fire protection. This gun cabinet offers quite a bit for the price. Well constructed, very solid. Has 5 solid thick pin locking bolts on 3 sides of the door with internal hinges. The door only opens to 90°. Keypad and optional key entry both work very well. Very easy to set up. Offers a flexible inner shelf and an inner lock box. Plenty of storage for numerous small boxes of ammo and multiple handguns. With the moveable shelf in place, it offers storage of up to 5 42" long rifles. The unit itself had a few internal paint flaws, very minor and not worth worrying about. The box came somewhat beat up but the unit itself was well protected and arrived undamaged. Recommended.

If you are paying $360, you should be able to expect a quality safe. This safe works, and the safe is okay. But, when I received the safe, there were a lot of dent marks, which made the safe look used. If this is just how the safe comes, it's a problem. Also, this safe is not so well built from the back and the sides. It is so thin that probably I can make a hole and rip it off with a hammer and nail. The door is thicker than the main body, but it makes the entire safe falls forward when you open the door because the door is heavier than the main body. If you are looking for a safe just to keep your guns stored, it maybe a okay safe ( Even though you could find a better deal from other seller), if you are looking for a quality safe, look for something else.

If your looking for a bank vault to store your weapons, this isn't the safe for you. Save your money and add a grand or two. However, if like me you needed a 300 dollar option for 5+ firearms, to secure them, then look no further. The door is sturdy. It comes with concrete lag bolts for bottom and back, the removable shelf and lockable storage. I was able to put 2 boxes of shotgu. Shells, 10 boxes of 22, 3 boxes of 38, 3 boxes of 9mm, 7 boxes of 556 and 2 boxes of 762 plus two loaded 30 round magazines in the lock box. It's stacked like tetris but it all fit. The removable shelf came with a pistol foam rack allowing for up to 5 pistols. Below you can place 6 rifles. My longest, a 16g crack barrel would not fit below the shelf. But there is a barrel holder on the right side and enough space in front of the shelf for it to stand. My only issue is that I had to Remove the optics from 1 rifle. Overall, for the price point, this is the best safe on the market. No assembly other than placing a removable shelf. The external power pack is a nice touch plus the emergency keys gives you two ways to access in case batteries die. Setting combo was easy. I highly recommend this product.
