I looked at gun safes for months at local retailers and the big box hunting & fishing stores but could not find one less than $2000 that had the features this one did. FedEx delivered it to my front door on a palate and with the help of a few strong friends we got it uncrated and in its place. The quality seems excellent and the combination lock was easy to reprogram. Having a 60 minute fire rating was a big plus. The interior is very roomy for its size and comfortably holds 6 long guns plus a number of handguns with plenty of space left over for ammo and important papers. This safe is a great value. The quality and features of this safe makes it a great bang for your buck! I've sold my share of safes when I was a locksmith. This safe is not top notch quality like some other brands, such as American Security.     • Will NOT open
Had this shipped to me, then i placed it on a ship and sent it overseas. it came, unopened with all its straps and packaging. ( not a scratch during this entire trip which is fantastic.) follow the instructions for the default code of 1-2-3-4-5-6 and it will NOT open. NOT ok. they should check that 100x before sending something this heavy to anyone. I will be calling support Monday. Very unhappy. this should absolutely never ever happen. no matter what the reason, it should NEVER occur. ... show more

The safe is extremely durable and I am full confidence it will protect my belongings. The only slight flaw is how the shelves are a bit off-kilter due to the rails not being perfectly aligned.

    • Go as big as you can buy.
The safe arrived on time and in good condition and was easily unloaded by the truck driver with a lift-gate and pallet-jack. Online videos can provide guidance for unpacking and maneuvering this very heavy beast of a cabinet off of the pallet. It’s solid, well finished and well fitted. It shipped with 4 very solid sheet metal pedestals bolted to the bottom which I removed. I suppose one might opt to leave them on if they preferred the bottom of the safe elevated above the floor, as the pedestals were finished in-kind with the safes exterior. I’m pleased with the product as “my first” gun safe despite size limitations that weren’t obvious until the safe was in front of me. If you look carefully at the product images you’ll see that the pictured holsters are hanging beyond the doors edge. You’ll be hard-pressed to arrange the door holsters in such a way as to be able load all of them with full size pistols and be able to close the door without otherwise either removing some of the other pouches or VERY carefully positioning shelves. With a door holster positioned adjacent to an interior shelf edge there isn’t sufficient room between the inside of the closed door and the shelf to accommodate the bulk of a full size pistol. The webbing on the door is sturdy and plentiful but by no means “spec” Molle. As for rifle storage, I think 4 or 5 is about all you can fit without really cramming them together unless you forego use of the small shelving. Edit: As I’ve used the safe for 6 months now I’ve come to realize that the fitment around the door - the gap between the door and the body of the safe - is probably plenty big to get a pry tool into. In that regard, it’s definitely not a 5-star product. That said, I don’t hesitate to suggest that the price-point is quite commensurate with what’s received. ... show more

    • Nice safe, terrible shelves
First of all, I really like the safe and had an excellent experience working with Dean Safe, but the shelves in this Safe are absolutely terrible and I was very disappointed when I initially set it up. I did a lot of research prior to purchasing the safe and no one talks about the bad shelving, so I will. After bolting the safe down to my floor, I set up the shelves and put six pistols into the organizer on the door. I then attempted to close the safe but it wouldn’t close because the shelves are too long if anything is in the door organizer. I rearranged the shelves and the position of my pistols to make sure when closing, the shelves where lined up with the thinnest part of the barrels and then the safe was able to close. I wasn’t very happy about it but I had no choice but to move on as this thing was already bolted to my floor. I continue putting things in my safe and I added my long guns and some extra magazines in the pouches in the door and the same thing happened, I couldn’t close the door. I had to eliminate one of the smaller shelves this time and adjust everything to close the door and it worked but it I didn’t like having to do that. Then, I have 3, 100 oz silver pieces (about 7 pounds each, so just over 20 pounds) and I put them on the top small shelf and the entire shelving unit collapsed and the silver fell to the bottom and dented my dehumidifier. I discover all of the shelves are particleboard and not very secure. No shelves broke, but the weight made the center stabilizing shelf tilt up and all of the small shelves collapsed on each other. I had been taking theses items out of my old much smaller Canon safe and the shelf in that thing is solid and just figured these shelves would be the same but they are not. When I finally put up the top shelf, I could feel how flimsy it was and knew I could not put anyone heavy on it. I was very unhappy at this point and called Stealth Safes who acted like they had never heard any of these things before. I don’t see how that is possible and I asked if I could purchase more heavy duty shelf’s and they reported all of their shelves were the same which was very surprising to me but all I had known was the heavy duty shelf in my Cannon Safe. In the end, I had them send my extra shelving clips which they did at no charge. I used the extra clips to stabilize the middle shelf so I could not slip with heavy items on the small shelves. I also cut 5/8” depth off every shelf to allow me to close the door without rearranging everything every time. And then I built an extra top shelf out of wood and covered it with felt from Joanne fabrics. I am very happy with the safe now but I should not have had to spend that much time building shelves. ... show more
