This is a great paddle for someone getting started and a good backup paddle for an intermediate player. It's made of the same materials and construction methods as some of the higher-priced paddles. If you're a beginner and you don't want to be stuck with the drawbacks of some of the clunky beginner paddles, it's a great one to start with. I 'm intermediate, and I bought it as a backup paddle in case the one I usually play with gets damaged, lost etc. Also, it's nice to have a second paddle in case a friend who's new to the sport wants to try it with you. The grip is made of good material and most people will find it very comfortable. I have very small hands (8 inches from tip of pinky to tip of thumb when spread as far as possible), so the grip is a bit less comfortable for me than my primary paddle, which was designed for small hands. The paddle is lightweight, but sturdy and solid, and I've been able to get a little spin on the ball with this paddle surface. It meets league & USAPA standards. Also, I love the included neoprene cover with zipper. My pricier paddle didn't come with a cover, and the Niupipo cover seems well-made. ... show more

Good basic paddle. It has some texture for applying spin etc. The handle is a little small for me, but fits my wife fine. I bought a different one with a 5" grip, but that's just me.

This is a great pickleball set. it is lightweight and everything fits great in the case. It comes with indoor and outdoor balls, 2 racquets and extra tape for the handles. This set helped me to get into the game of PB and is holding up against paddles that are 2 or 3x more expensive. It comes with everything you will need to get started. Great minimalistic design, an amazing and comfortable grip (assuming M size). Pickleball paddle grip sizes range from 4 – 4.5. Small (4 – 4.125), medium (4.25) and large (4.5).The ball definitely travels fast with the fiberglass coating that is ideal for more power. Didn't have a chance to try the balls, since most of the places require Franklin X-40 balls for hard surface/competition play.
