UPDATE- I have ordered a replacement because ours won't work at all now. Our poor baby hamster had no water for a day and drank water ferociously when I got him a working bottle. Luckily I have an extra bottle but am disappointed. This brand is usually great! We have two new hamsters and I have bought three water bottles. I originally was going to give this bottle a poor rating because our first hamster was able to open the bottle, get her cage all wet, and steal all the pieces from inside. Luckily all pieces were found in her stash and I changed all of her damp bedding and all is well. She also was not able to get any water out of it for a couple of days before I realized it wasn't working. I checked the bottle in our new foster hamster's cage and his wasn't working either! I now check the bottles at least once daily and noticed all three bottles I have bought have had this same issue and they are all different brands so I can't fault this specific bottle for it. We just have to be diligent about making sure it works every day when we spot clean and feed them. Aside from that I like this style and size the best. I think they look the best in our habitats and I like the smaller size so I can monitor that it's working and they are drinking water. I also like changing out water every couple of days so this seems like the right one for us. ... show more

Great product. I was looking for an open top lid with its own stand to hold it up. It's tiny but still holds more than enough water for a Syrian hamster. It holds up well without falling over. My hamster does not knock it over. Still be aware of your own setup though so it's safe. Also, it is pretty sturdy. My hamster has chewed through plastic before but he was not able to chew through the water spout. He left alot of teeth marks on it but that's probably because they store water deep in their cheeks so he shoves it in his mouth & it gets chewed on in the process. Excellent quality bottle & stand, sturdy, well cut for placement and holding ... I don't think it leaks ... I can't be certain, but the water isn't disappearing at an unreasonable rate.

We love this water bottle for our guinea pig! We had to find one that would work within his cage and not roll over or fall down, which it hasn't yet (we have had it for about 5 months). The one we had before it kept getting broken and we had to fix it.

Meet Ruby, my new Teddy Bear Hamster. I was getting very concerned that she wasn't drinking any water no matter what I used. My former Teddy Bear Hamster had no issues. Then I bought this water bottle and wa-la she is drinking like a champ. Thank you.

This water bottle is great it hasn't leaked and my hamster is easily able to get water out of it! I do recommend shaking it once in a while to make sure the ball doesn't get stuck. I haven't had this issue but I did read the comments that some people had this issue.
