Awesome woodfire grill! The Ninja Woodfire Grill XL is so easy to use! I just add the pellets (it doesn't take much -- the measuring cup accurately puts in the right amount of pellets), and go to the app to start and ignite the grill, and it preheats to the right temp. I used the two probes to cook the meat (and if you have someone who wants a different doneness or if the steak is a different thickness, it accurately shows the temperatures for both and when to flip each and remove each one), and it's flawless. You can taste the woodfire flavor cooked right in, and it doesn't take long to cook to desired doneness. I love this grill -- it may be small but it can handle a couple of steaks and cook them exactly the way you like it! This Ninja Woodfire XL Grill as an absolute home run for the folks at Ninja. Gone is any need for propane, no last minute trips to the gas station to refill empty propane tanks. Instead, the heat source is electric with infinite flexibility. The smoke, and hence the BBQ flavor, is introduced by just a quarter cup of pellets. This is absolutely the best of both worlds. The grill plate is absolutely non-stick which makes clean-up a breeze. Just wait for it to cool a bit after cooking and hot-soapy water with a nylon brush render it to like new condition almost instantly. I wish Ninja had included a flat griddle plate in the package but $40.00 solved that through Amazon. The unit comes fully assembled so there’s nothing to put together. I highly recommend that you run it through its paces a couple of times prior to your first cook. This will season the paint and “burn-off” and residual manufacturing chemical which might be present………..because there always is. Most importantly, the flavor is out of this world. The Ninja woodfire grill is easy to set up and cook with. Once unboxed it took a few minutes to get the app and connect to it. After that, cooking is simple. I have cooked bacon, burgers, steak, chicken wings, and ribs so far. All have turned out perfectly and we're very quick and easy to setup, cook, and cleanup afterwards.     • I Paid $440 For Headaches!

I down loaded the app could not get it paired with my phone. My phone is compatible with the app but no luck. Support had to pair it. Then the grill kept loosing connection with the app and ruined my dinner. I called support again and I had to update the app. I did so. I grilled steaks using the temp probe. I kept receiving a message the probe was unplugged, it wasn't. Once again the grill would drop the wifi signal. The grill is next to my home. I live on 20 acres and I can get a signal in the back 20 and this grill can't keep a signal next to my home. Last night cooking steaks manually, the grill was hot, told me to put my food in, I did so, then 1 min later it said to flip the food. I did so, then one min later it said food was done? My steaks were raw! This thing has ruined 5 meals. I purchased this so I could grill downstairs, monitor the app and cook the sides upstairs. Dinner is supposed to be relaxing. This thing as done nothing but get me upset, frustrated and has ruined every meal I have fixed on it. All I have is an expensive paperweight. No I do not recommend this XL grill nor would I recommend this to my family and friends. ... show more

I pulled off the old gas grill body, and with a little carpentry and plywood, reused the bottom frame of my old grill to custom fit this unit so the feet would fully engage. I find that it cooks much more quickly than the general large food quanity recipes call for, so my advice is to definitely us your own temp probe while you learn how to use this. The phone app is super well done even if China knows how you are using the unit and it is pretty much set and wait, but I still hover around the grill due to the fact that this thing cooks fast. You want to keep an eye on the internal temps manually until you know how it does all the functions, then you could use the app without worry. Be sure to wipe down the upper inside hood as it collects grease during cooking. The smoke unit works ok but directions are to fill it full each time, so plan to smoke a large batch of food or you will have a lot of unburned pellets you are paying for if smoking small food quantities. ... show more

I just can't say enough about this grill I was a bit nervous at first but once I actually got it and cook my first set of meat which was two rib eye steaks omg me and my wife blown away by the tenderness and taste.... I am a huge fan of wood pelllet grilling. I have owned and cooked on 3 different wood pellet grills in the past 12 years. I have also been a full time RVer and have used a portable Traeger grill for the past 3 years. The Traeger worked fine but it was messy and I began having problems the last year using it. So, about a month ago I bought the Ninja-model OG951 grill. It took a little bit of experimentation to learn the best way to cook on it, but OMG! Has it been worth it!!! I can't say enough about this grill & smoker. It's just fantastic! And, it's much easier to cook on, clean and maintain. The best part, I actually think in the long run, I will pay for the Nija with the money I save on wood pellets. It's that efficient. ... show more
