I wish it was twice the size, or that I had 2 of these to be honest. I looked into the Grill XL but it didn't seem to be getting as favorable reviews as the original Foodi Grill, so I went with this one. I'm not disappointed with it, AT ALL. First thing I did was grill a ribeye. And one thing I discovered is with the integrated temperature probe that THIS has, my previous method of doing ribeyes in a sous vide and then searing, was a big waste of time. Maybe for a strip or sirloin that could use a little heat tenderizing, sure. Ribeye? Naw. Throw it on the Foodi Grill, set the probe for 125 or 130 depending on your preference, and shes beautiful, and only takes a few minutes to cook instead of an hour +. You don't quite get the perfect edge to edge consistency, but honestly its good enough and pretty close. My wife, who is Filipino, has been making some great marinated and grilled chicken with this thing. It comes out so good. Nice beautiful BBQ type char on the outside, hot and tender and juicy on the inside. Its really easy to use. Get creative. Don't be fooled by all the settings, its really not all that complicated. The trick is the "grill", "roast", "air fry" and "dehydrate" settings all do exactly the same thing, the element heats, and it blows. the settings just limit you to whatever temperature range you will see. So if you want to slow cook something at 200 degrees for example, choose the dehydrate setting so that you have access to that temperature range. Its fairly easy to clean, but it does need to be cleaned thoroughly after each use. I'm pretty OCD about patina building up on cookware, and this machine has enough nooks and crannies in it where eventually its going to become a problem. I wish people could engineer appliances that took this sort of thing into consideration better and made them even easier to clean or more difficult to get soiled. Not that the Foodi is particularly bad mind you, the grill and air fryer basket and pan are super easy to clean. The problems start with the splatter screen, and move out from there to the top half of the unit. If you keep on it on a regular basis it should not be too much of a problem. We do fries and tots on a fairly regular basis, the fries are great, you would never know they are air fried vs deep fried .. they taste great., but mostly steaks, chicken .. whole birds (about 5 lbs), and also quarters. It did a Butterball turkey roast in there pretty well. I'm about ready to try and smoke a pastrami in it in a few days but thats an undocumented and unrecommended use .. but I think I know a way ...

This is the best little appliance ever! The grill and thermometer and the instructions blinking at you makes it foolproof. Add d bonus is the large airfryer. I cooked a steak according to instructions and it came out PERFECT. I replaced a small airfryer with this and am so happy with it.

This is absolutely amazing! I have used this every day since I bought it! It really does EXACTLY what it says it does! It’s super easy to clean as long as you follow cleaning instructions. Something you can accidentally overlook: don’t attach the thermometer case/holder to the side of the grill unless the grill isn’t in use! Even though it’s magnetic, it can damage your stuff. The cooking/food prep instructions are a Godsend! I have had trouble trying to make the perfect medium rare steak, and this cooks it quickly and perfectly every time! The thermometer helps take away any guesswork!

I have been given 3 air fryers in the past few years and donated them as raffles for my church because I was afraid of them. Then I got this Ninja Foodi Grill that not only air frys but roasts, bakes, dehydrates AND grills. I was a nervous wreck getting it ready but I followed the instructions and made the most delicious bbq chicken legs. Tonight I will be doing corn/ cob and hot dogs and I’m feeling I CAN DO THIS. Best air fryer on the market, and most reasonably priced for all that it offers. Cooking is absolutely care free and the accompanying books are filled with great and easy recipes. Cleans easily and thermometer attachment makes perfectly cooked meats. I'm very pleased.

Just received this a couple of days ago and have used it to grill a top sirloin filet and to make a tuna melt sandwich. Unit worked great. Used the temperature probe on the steak (make sure you read the directions). There are actually 2 set points for each doneness level, 2 for rare, 2 for medium rare, etc. Mine came out a little over what I like, but that just a matter of learning the right set point. No noticeable smoke and hand cleanup was not bad at all. A note on the roasting rack: it was indicated as being included in text and photos but was not in my unit. The Ninja box also did not indicate that there was a roasting rack. Called Ninja support who directed me back to Amazon. Amazon agreed it was supposed to be included, but said my only options were to return the unit (24 pounds, not likely) or get a partial Amazon credit. The Ninja website indicates the roasting rack is out of stock. Amazon's credit was fair. I would not plan on receiving the roasting rack, and you will just need to go through the hoops with Amazon support to get a credit if it is not in your unit.

I HATE cooking, but I really LIKE this product! Had to replace my T-Fal Opti-grill that blew its sensors and could not be reset. This grill has a small counter footprint (for a grill), is very easy to clean, and preheats much more rapidly than my previous grill. I made the decusion not buy the latest model because people were complaining about the lack of filter fir the exhaust. Glad I bought this model. I really like that the exhaust is captured and filtered by a removable, washable metal screen. I also really like the cleaning brush that comes with the unit. (This actually works great on my non-stick cookware also!!) So far, I am really enjoying both the grill and air fryer features. Have not used the others yet. If I had to buy it again, however, I do not think I would spend the extra money to get the meat temperature sensor. First, the meat has to be pretty thick to be able to use it at all. Second, the internal footprint of the grill is rather small and trying to get the meat in/out keeping the sensor in the correct position is just not worth the effort. The good news is that it is really not needed if you use the cooking charts! My husband says his "medium" is coming out perfect, and my "very well done" cooks super fast without drying out. We're even cooking steaks indoors again! One thing I would like to see is some sort of removable handle that could be used to easily get the air fryer basket out of the unit when it is hot. Something like the snap-in handles used on the old oil fryers, perhaps? If this already exists and I just missed it, my apologies. Overall, I am prety impressed with this unit. Plus, anything that gets me in/out of the kitchen faster is a plus in my book! :)
