  • More than an air fryer - bakes, roasts, grills... From Tofu to Tater Tots. Low Calorie Cooking.
Color: Sage
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this machine. I didn't think I would - but I do. I don't like owning a lot of kitchen devices as I have a small kitchen. Additionally, I think people often buy the newest fad and then the machine doesn't get used. I limit myself to the bare necessities in kitchen appliances. I researched this before purchasing and figure I could return it if it didn't perform well. This design is totally different from other air fryers. I purchased an air fryer for a friend and while the thing worked it was bulky and I couldn't figure out how one could actually clean the thing out. I think the oil and debris must accumulate or the high temps sanitizes the machine. I never wanted to own one until I saw how Ninja turned the traditional air fryer design upside down. Unlike all the other air fryers, this design it so very easy to clean because the cooking element of the sits on top of the glass containers. The bowls can be stored in the freezer or refrigerator. Not sure if they are safe for microwave or not. This is so more than an air fryer as it bakes, roasts, grills, etc. Ninja doesn't advertise the machine as a low calorie way to cook but it should. Any fats from the meat one cooks or oils added to the food ends up at the bottom of the container. Saves lots of calories when using the grill function. The two glass dishes are incredibly easy to clean. One would think with the high temperatures that food would bake on and be difficult to remove. It isn't. This glass is somehow different and cleaning is easy and simple. Mostly just with soapy water and a sponge unless especially dirty then scrubber side of the sponge might be needed. Cooking has been so very easy. Since it take relative little time to cook say chicken thighs (10 min), I can cook them and then cook some vegetables (5 min) without the meats getting cold. Or I've been able to partially cook some baby potatoes and then stack chicken on top and finish cooking both together. I've cooked everything from tater tots to marinated tofu and everything has turned out great. As with everything there is a learning curve in determining how long to cook something. When cooked correctly chicken thighs have turned out crispy on the outside while still moist. I cook marinated tofu to be used as either a high protein snack or to be later added to a stir fry. Believe it or not my dog absolutely loves the tofu I have been making in this Ninja. I mean she LOVES it. I have been using this machine several times a week which is highly unusual for my don't-really-like-to-cook cooking style. The smaller bowl is the right size for one to two people, while the larger bowl is sized for larger portions. With the larger bowl I was able to cook two Cornish Hens. Their picture showing it cooking a whole chicken is wishful thinking IMO. I don't think possible unless that is a very small chicken. I find grilled vegetables come out great, as do baked potatoes and roasted mini potatoes. Grilled eggplant and peppers have been very tasty. I have attempted a sort of stir fry but since vegetables require different cooking times I found that sequencing the vegetables too time consuming. No fault of the machine as I was asking it to do something it was not designed to do. I tried their tater tot recipe and it was pretty good. I keep trying to create new ways to use this machine and know I have not yet explored its limits. Sometimes if I put too much food into the smaller bowl I will get foods slightly stuck onto the heating element. But never had any problem removing that food. I have not tried baking cakes or anything of that sort but plan to try sometime. This is one of the most versatile machine I have come across and the reason I would buy it again. I've started to enjoy cooking again due to this little machine. ... show more

  • Great product on multiple levels.
Color: Cyberspace Gray
Much easier to use than other air fryers. Easy to clean and store. Versatile as it also bakes and recrisps. Glass dishes can serve, be frozen and washed in dishwasher. Has large and small capacities. The large size may still be small for large families but so are most other air fryers. The heat element is unique construction and is protected so it does not gunk up like other products which are impossible to clean and are fire hazard. ... show more

  • Don’t sleep on the ninja crispi!!
Color: Sage
I wish I would’ve known about this before I bought the eight in one ninja cooker. This thing is amazing and it definitely has a better air fry than the eight in one. You do have to be careful with baking cookies and watch them very closely but everything that I’ve made so far has been delicious and I love that I don’t have to turn on my oven to bake meals during the summer.. it works really great. It’s so easy to use and it comes with instructions although it’s pretty common sense. I did have to put a plate on my counter for the lid once I was done cooking and in between just because I was afraid it’s so hot that I didn’t wanna mess up my counter. I love that you really don’t need oil to cook with unless you want to get that actual fried feeling but even then you’re not using a lot of oil. And I think it helps the aroma of the food fill my house more than my oven would so it smelled really good when I was cooking. I love that the containers can be used for Tupperware. That is a huge plus. It’s also pretty easy to store. A couple of things that I saw in the reviews that should’ve been common sense, but I’m gonna put them here for you. One this is not for baking cakes, even though it has a bake mode on it. You cannot bake cake cakes in this thing. it is way too hot and too close. You’re gonna end up with a burnt top and a mushy inside. Do not bake liquidy things in this ninja crispi. Also the containers that you’re baking with and using for Tupperware, these are actually glass. Do not put them in cold water after you’re done to soak them. Don’t put anything cold in them after you’re done. Make sure to cool them down almost all the way before you put any drastic change in temperature in the containers that way you don’t break them. I love this thing. I definitely would recommend anybody else getting one. You will absolutely love it. It will be used constantly in your home. I guarantee it. ... show more

  • BEST AIR FRYER !!!
Color: Cyberspace Gray
I had decided and declared that I would never have an air fryer because of the amount of counter space needed, the largeness of the machine, the NOISE they make when cooking, and the GREASY machine with use. No thanks!! HOWEVER, I had kids/grandkids coming and knew an air fryer would come in handy so I decided to take a look - found this and thought WOW - this new generation is nothing like the old air fryers ... the glass dishes, the AMAZING easy to use, takes up no space, and QUIET ... SO EASY to clean and just put in dishwasher. I NOW USE my air fryer ALL THE TIME I hardly use my stove and never my oven!!! Very good meals are ready in 20-30 minutes! ... show more

  • Ninja nailed it again!
Color: Cyberspace Gray
I wanted to give it some months before I review to make sure it authentic. This air fryer has been incredible. Easy to clean whether it’s by hand or by dishwasher. The food cooks amazing! You name it, you can cook it in this air fryer. We traveled last weekend and I was able to pack this up and go. It is awesome. I also bought an extra 4 qt container in case I cook in batches so I don’t have to clean one and then use it over again. I could just grab the extra one. Simple instructions and recipes, amazing performance no odor either. I love using max crisp at the end to finish it just right! ... show more

  • good product, bad delivery
Color: Cyberspace Gray
This is an easy to use, easy to clean, good product. Mine was delivered in a wet taped up box, at another apartment door. I am home on disability after surgery and was not text that my order was delivered. And when the owner of my home brought the box to me, there was not user guild, but a user guild to a computer monitor instead. Thankfully google helped me with directions for use, and there was nothing wrong inside the damaged box, wet box. ... show more

  • Love this little air fryer. Works great, heats fast, easy to clean. Useful when cooking for two.
Color: Cyberspace Gray
I am a Ninja fan and have quite a few of their product which I love. When I discovered the Crispi air fryer, I was hesitant to buy it since I have the dual air fryer and a couple of other Ninja appliance that also do a good job at air frying. Even so, I was intrigued by the price that is lower than most Ninja appliances, and decided to try it. I figured I could return it if I didn't like it. As it turns out, I love it. Since I have other appliances that perform the same functions, it's not something I will be using every day. Yet the smaller size of the containers are very useful when you don't need a larger oven or other appliance for the cooking task. So, what are the pros and cons of this air fryer and would it be useful for you. Pros: 1) It includes two glass cooking containers, 6 cup and 4 quart, that can withstand temperatures of up to 450 degrees. I have used both containers and it not find any problems with maintaining temperature in the larger container as reported by another buyer. 2) Lids for both containers are included for storing leftovers, but I doubt I will ever use the lids. 3) Both containers include crisper plates that elevate food from the bottom of the containers so that air circulates around the food for even cooking. 4) The entire unit with all of the accessories nests together, so it really doesn't take much storage space. 5) Since the containers are smaller than an oven, they heat up much more quickly and cook food faster. 6) Includes a recipe book with recipe ideas and charts for cooking a number of foods in both container sizes. Personally, I doubt I will use the recipes, but the cooking charts are very useful since this unit heats fast and maintains temperatures better than some other cooking options. 7) The glass containers and crisper plates are very easy to clean. Warm soapy water and a wash rag is usually all that is needed for thorough cleaning. In addition, these items are all dishwasher safe. 8) Super easy to use. Select a mode, recrisp, bake, air fry, or max crisp. Cons: 1) Since the bases cannot be separated from the glass bowls, it could be difficult to clean the underside of the bowls around and above the base. So far, I have not had anything get onto the underside of the bowls, so this hasn't been a problem. I have been cleaning the bowls by hand since they are so easy to clean. Since the bowls and bases are dishwasher safe, washing in the dishwasher would resolve this problem. 2) Specific cooking temperatures cannot be chosen. Each mode has a temperature range that can't be changed. So far, this hasn't been a problem for me since I choose the mode by temperature range rather than by function. Bake has the lowest temperature range and is supposed to supply gentler heating. This mode works best for foods that you don't want to use the higher temperatures used for air frying, such as seafood. Tonight, I reheated a large stuffed pepper that had been cut in half when it was partially thawed. In the past, I reheated these peppers cut in half in an oven and in a small casserole dish. As the peppers reheated, they sat in the juices released by the peppers and meat in the peppers. I used the 6 cup container, put the pepper halves on the crisper plate, and the juices were collected below the plate. I heated the peppers using the bake mode for 10 minutes to complete the thawing. After we ate our salads, I baked the peppers another 10 minutes to reheat them, and added BBQ sauce in the last 5 minutes. They came out wonderful. Some of the top of the meat was a bit crisped, and the BBQ sauce was well heated. Judging from this experience, I don't think I would recommend cooking a 4 lb. chicken in this cooker since it would be so close to the heating element, but a 3 lb. would work fine. It should be baked first on the back side and then turned to cook on the top side. When almost to 165 degrees, it should be air fried a few minutes to crisp the skin. This appliance shines for so many uses, and would be perfect when cooking for 1-4 people depending on what is being cooked. My husband's cooking abilities are limited to the microwave and the toaster, and even he could use this appliance without feeling challenged. UPDATE 12/05/24: Tonight, I made a couple of lemon pepper chicken thighs for dinner. Since the thighs were small, I decided to use the small bowl of the Crispi to air fry them, and used a wireless probe to monitor the internal temperature of the thighs. I set the done temperature on the probe app to 165 degrees, used the air fry mode on the Crispi and set the time to 15 minutes since I wasn't sure how long it would take to cook the thighs. I started the cooking with the skin side down and turned the thighs when the internal temperature was at 100 degrees to brown and crisp the skin. It took 13 minutes to fully cook the thighs. They were well browned and very moist. I will definitely be using the Crispi in the future for cooking foods that don't require the space of a larger oven. I will update this review if my opinion changes. At this time, I would recommend this air fryer if you feel it would be useful for you. I hope this review was helpful for you. ... show more
