Description

This 3 galtouchless trash can is designed and engineered by Ninestars, the world's first legal patent holder. With its sleek oval fingerprint-resistant design, it can be used in almost any place, such as the home, office, kitchen, bedroom, dorm room or a kid's room. This durable trash can uses the most advanced sensor technology which can be found in all Ninestars trash cans. Pass your hand or debris within ten inches or a 130° angle from the infrared sensor and the lid will automatically open. The lid will remain open if debris or hand remains within the range of the infrared sensor. Three seconds after your hand moves away from the lid, it will close automatically. Power lasts up to 6 months in normal daily usage. It includes a ring liner to keep trash bag from public view for a neat and clean appearance.

    • Best trash can ever
We moved to a small town that bans the flushing of flushable wipes in the toilet. I needed a trash can in the bathroom beside the toilet that automatically opens to dispose of these and other bathroom trash. I could not have found a better trash can, and I spent hours looking for one on Amazon and reading all of the reviews. This one is perfect in every way and I would not change anything about it. I can’t imagine anyone giving this one other than a perfect review. I had purchased a different kind initially and within a week it was dented. This one does not dent. The quality is excellent. It works flawlessly and it actually is beautiful and not an eyesore. It comes in multiple colors and it is reasonablely priced compared to others I have looked at and I hope they continue to offer it at this price. I have been so impressed by it that I have now purchased 4 of them, including one for the screened in back porch. Even though the 3 gallon size sounds small, it really is not and it works great. The trash bags on Amazon that I purchase for these are about $5.00 for multiple rolls and work very well. For people that have septic tanks that do not want to flush toilet paper, this would be an excellent choice. They have a plastic rim that holds the trash bag in place and no odors escape the trash can. When I replace the trash bag, I spray some Febreeze in the bottom of the can to prevent any odors and there have been none. The first one I purchased was about 6 months ago and I use it everyday and the original batteries I placed are still going strong. I even now have one by my bed and I don’t have to worry about things accidentally falling into it and my bedside table no longer has candy wrappers from my midnight snack that I have to dispose of everyday in another room. My favorite part is that I never have to touch the trash can for it to open and close. I just wave my hand over it and it opens for a few seconds and then it closes perfectly. I highly recommend this. You will not regret this purchase and you can use it in so many different areas in your home. ... show more

    • Love this product!!!!
This excellent quality product is exactly as stated, I love the color, the size is perfect and it works like a charm!!! Opens quickly and responsively, stays open for a few seconds and then closes back up. It makes a little sound when opening but it is quiet. It's easy to remove the trash bag and simple to replace with a clean bag. It's well worth the price and I love it!!! ... show more

    • Perfect color and works well
This trash can is the best. It is the perfect size to handle the bathroom trash and small enough to be out of the way. Well-constructed and works perfectly. Do not have the problem of it opening every time you get near it like some other trash can do. I got this in yellow and the color is perfect. It is a true sunshine yellow. ... show more

    • Beautiful Product
Review Image by Mystr-T
Came boxed in a sturdy cardboard box, not the flimsy recycled material. Each piece was packed in a protective surrounding and nothing was scratched damaged or missing. The top and bag holder fit like gloves. The base is aluminum and color painted. The color is true Burgundy and looks as depicted. The top matches in color even though it is ABS plastic. Sensor works great as you can see in video. You can put a lot in this 3 gal container surprisingly. The rectangular shape allows a nice fit by my bed. One minor annoyance the sensor is sensitive so if your covers flop over the sensor it activates. You can shut off the device with the power button to prevent this if you wish. Also if you want to keep it open for a period of time this can also be accomplished in the same way. If your looking for a well designed and sturdy product this it. Don’t hesitate to buy it or any of the larger sizes. If you have a need to replace a part they have a catalog of parts on line including battery doors. I bought this because of my dog digging in the open basket and having lunch with everything in it or worse shredding it all over the floor. Several test and he can’t get into the container, success! Well almost the battery door popped off somehow and he ate it. Now I have to buy another battery door Not even 24 hrs after receiving it. How disappointing! ... show more

    • Not My Favorite Brand
We bought two touchless trash cans from Ninestars, one stainless steel and one burgundy, for our bathrooms. They have had some problems, though they seem to have settled down and now function nicely most of the time. First, the instructions did not correctly describe the operation (perhaps they were for an older model). Second, the control is rather cumbersome, since the unit uses a single button for multiple purposes. Unlike our iTouchless unit for the kitchen, this one has no power switch for shutting it off when changing the bag and no open and close switches for manual operation. Initially, neither unit worked properly. They would open and never close. I tried cycling the power and even removed the batteries for several hours to reset the units. The problems persisted erratically. However, at some point, for no apparent reason, they began to work properly—most of the time. The other day, however, with nothing moving anywhere near one of the units, the lid started opening and closing, opening and closing, opening and closing. Eventually it resumed normal operation. We have had no such problems with the iTouchless unit. I would stick with that brand in the future if possible (but Ninestars does offer a wide range of sizes and colors, so perhaps that's why we chose these for the bathrooms). In general, we really like the automatic trash cans. They are so nice to use when one does not have a hand free (or foot convenient) to open the lid. ... show more

    • Elegant and reliable
Review Image by Matei
This small trash can is very attractive and endearing. The look and the sound it makes when opening makes me think of WALL-E or a small animal. We've been using it for a month with no problems and no battery change. We did have one difficulty in the beginning, and I'd like to document our solution in case somebody else finds it helpful. We keep our trash can under the kitchen sink. The sensor on the lid has a range of about 1ft, and it would get activated by the bottom of the sink -- basically it would stay continuously open as long as it was in a covered space. After some trial and error, we found that black matte tape on the surface directly above prevents signal from being reflected back to the sensor, which allows it to close. Now it works as intended. ... show more

    • Perfect size for bachelor's kitchen
Living in a warm climate, the growth of larva is a problem with garbage left over a couple of days. This is a perfect size to ensure that waste is emptied every couple of days, thus reducing that occurrence. Unit is well constructed (metal), easy to clean and attractive in my kitchen.
