The instructions say that they have to sit on each other a certain way or the light could die. This thing is so cool BUT highly unstable. It falls apart constantly. My kid got annoyed with it and threw it in a drawer. Wish the pieces stayed together, or maybe locked in. Cool concept, but not very practical.
