Amazing little filter. Solid design, very compact and extremely quiet. I just set it up and it works very well. If it doesn't break soon, it's a really good deal for the money. It's in my son's 3-gallon tank, which was getting cloudy and murky because the old filter wasn't pumping very efficiently. After about 12 hours of this new filter working, the water is almost crystal clear. My son and his guppies are happy campers now. ;)

Great small aquarium pump. I have a small 2.5 gallon tank with 2 small Dwarf African Frogs and the pump that came with the tank stopped working. I bought this pump and it's great! The pump was very easy to install, although it did come with well written directions. It's very quiet, I have it at work right behind my desk and I can't even hear the pump...only a little water fall. I am so happy to have found this. I will purchase another for my tank at home when the time comes. Worth the small amount of money.

This took some adjusting with the hose to get it flowing properly. It is no joke when they say it has to be ALL the way full of water in the back tank before it can cycle through (which is difficult, because without the lid on, the filter likes to pop up & out) Other than that, after getting it together, everything works beautifully! The water flow is nice and even, and the intake doesn't suck in tiny fish. My Red Eye Tetras seem to enjoy swimming under the "waterfall" it makes. I paired this with the boxtech Aquarium Air Stone Bubble Diffuser, and together they seem to be keeping the water MUCH clearer than the stuid expensive biOrb globe tank & filter we had previously. I won't be switching the filter out until Sept 20th, but imagine cleaning will be fairly easy, comparatively. Will update with photos later!

This NICREW filter is pretty decent. It's small and doesn't take up much space in my tank, which I like (I have a betta named Bubbles, she loves it). The filter does its job well enough, keeping the water clean and clear. I haven't had any issues with the flow being too strong or anything, though sometimes I wish it was just a LITTLE stronger, you know? Anyway, it's easy to set up and use. (I accidentally put the sponge in backwards at first, but it still worked fine). It came with everything I needed, so no complaints there. Overall, this filter is great for small tanks like mine. The adjustable flow is a nice feature too, although I don't really mess with it much. And hey, if you need to clean the media, it's super easy and quick to do. You can't beat that! Definitely would recommend this one to anyone looking for a reliable and quiet filter for their small aquarium.

This slim aquarium filter works okay for my 5 gallon tank, and I like that the flow is adjustable. It runs fairly quietly once it’s properly set up. However, the instructions were a bit unclear, and it took some trial and error to get it working without making noise. Also, the build quality feels a little flimsy, so I’m not sure how long it will last. It’s a decent budget option, but don’t expect too much.

This little thing is a beast! I bought it for my 5-gallon betta tank to replace my (3rd) Topfin fish filter after it burnt out. Not only is it practically silent once it gets going, but it is super easy to set up, just put 3 pieces together, fill it with water, and let it do its thing. The current isn't too strong, and my fish seems to enjoy taking little strolls under it. It also cleared up my water practically overnight, and I use sand as substrate. I'll have to update my review after having it for at least a month, but for now, as long as I keep the impeller clean, it looks promising.
