  • Best nicrew yet! Best nicrew yet!
Size: NavaReef 135
Originally bought the hyder reef 100 and ended up going with these instead. These light have more punch and some less spread but I’m getting double the par out of these that I was with the hyper reefs . I love the fact that they have more blue leds less white so instead of having to run the whites lower it’s just more of the AB+ spectrum out of the box meaning more power to the leds I actully want to run. The mounting arm is more like the gen1 hyper reefs than the gen 2 but I don’t care it’s on a frag tank. Maybe nicrew will upgrade the mounting arms in the future. The preset buttons work great - I eventually got the controller for more control but they would be fine without it. They compare to the gen4 radions but a third the price ! Great value and great performance! The fans are super quiet also ! I was blown away at the performance of these lights and I highly recommend to any reefer on any budget they just work! ... show more

  • Fantastic lighting at an affordable price
Size: NavaReef 135
I have had a saltwater tank for 10 years. I have always had super expensive lighting as my corals count on this. I decided to give the Nicrew a try because I was reading several reviews. You will not be disappointed in these lights. My only problem was that I had them up way to bright and I got algae. I adjusted them and now I am on the right track. Make sure you adjust the blue light carefully. I hate reading instructions so I just turned it on and went about my business. These lights are a fantastic price for what you get. So bright. ... show more

  • 10/10 This lights great for the $$
Size: NavaReef 65
Phenomenal deal for a quality light, great design, nice lighting options, easy to control and setup. 10/10 would recommend have it on my anemone/clownfish tank and it has all the RBT anemones bubbled and happy. Also its quiet and doesn't put off much heat and I run it at 100%.

  • Works beautifully but the controls are not the best
Size: NavaReef 65
I love and hate these lights. They do work as they should, are light, and they are absolutely silent which is why I kept them, but the controls suck unless you purchase a separate controller which I won't, and the only reason why is because one you set it how you want you don't have to touch it again which makes purchasing the remote a waste of money in my mind. They could have put a few more control button on the light itself to make it a little more user friendly. I don't use the bracket it came with because it sticks out in the back too much and my tank is close to the wall so it wouldn't fit. I did suspend it above the tank and it works perfect. I originally got the 135W and use that on one tank and I have purchased 2 of the 65W over my 42gal. It does come preset with different color ratios depending on what you want/need and I find them perfect. The light is nice and bright with good spread. ... show more

  • 75 Gallon Reef
Size: NavaReef 135
I’m a novice my experience works great you can dial back intensity with the controller sold separately. It’s annoying having to pay for a piece separately but it’s worth it. Manual control only get 30 ramp up and down. With the controller you get 1 hour and 2 hour. Plus choose exact amount of colors added. I added 3 T5 bulbs and it picks up the corners from being darker ... show more

  • Excellent Reef Light for Growth and Color
Size: NavaReef 65
I’ve been very happy with this light. The setup was straightforward, the mounting arm feels sturdy, and the light output is impressive for the price. The adjustable settings make it easy to customize the spectrum and intensity for different coral needs. My tank looks brighter, colors are more vibrant, and the shimmer effect is beautiful. ... show more

  • Good LED lights. Good LED lights.
Size: NavaReef 135
Solid lights. Easy install. Keep in mind my cameras blue filter is not reduced so the image is much bluer than real life.

  • Great light out of the box, but...
Size: NavaReef 135
I have numerous salt water aquariums and various brands of lights. This is my first Nicrew light. I believe Nicrew is creating high quality budget lights to compete with the big brands, but they're not a big brand, and there are other black box lights (Smatfarm, Hygger) that are much cheaper with the same or better features. Out of the box, it looks great. Nice finish, all included parts for assembly and a very nice mounting bracket that works on rimless or rimmed tanks. The thing I noticed immediately was the assembly screws are not thumb screws. They are Allen head, though an Allen key (wrench) is included. That's one drawback for me. I already stripped one of the top bar screw holes and at no point did I overtighten. Steel screws on an aluminum bracket, using an Allen key that offers little feel. And the screw heads themselves barely cover the slider gap in the bracket to ensure a secure fit. The screws need to be replaced with larger headed thumb screws, in my opinion. This would ensure better security, require no tools, and help prevent stripping the screw holes. The light comes preprogrammed with various preset lighting spectrums. You can only select the preset spectrum, adjust the brightness, and set a basic timer. If you want the controllability of the lights this one is competing with, you have to buy their control module. Now the control module is very nice and works well, multiple lights can be connected via USB and controlled by a single module, but a lower price light like the smatfarm, with the same or higher wattage, has this level of controllability built in. I personally think Nicrew should be more competitive because at this price point and out of the box features, the smatfarm lights are crushing them. Overall, it's nice, provides a beautiful spectrum, comes with a nice mounting bracket that lacks thumb screws, requires a module to full control, and is much more expensive than it's true competition. ... show more
