Within a coverage area of 24'' x 24'', the NavaReef 135 has a peak PAR of 300µMol at a depth of 24 inches, perfect for the SPS-dominated reef tank. The controller can control 5 independent light channels with stepless dimming and offers endless customization options for your lighting. An elegant solution to hang the NavaReef over your tank. It is compatible with all models of the NavaReef and HyperReef Gen 2 LED light. Originally bought the hyder reef 100 and ended up going with these instead. These light have more punch and some less spread but I’m getting double the par out of these that I was with the hyper reefs . I love the fact that they have more blue leds less white so instead of having to run the whites lower it’s just more of the AB+ spectrum out of the box meaning more power to the leds I actully want to run. The mounting arm is more like the gen1 hyper reefs than the gen 2 but I don’t care it’s on a frag tank. Maybe nicrew will upgrade the mounting arms in the future. The preset buttons work great - I eventually got the controller for more control but they would be fine without it. They compare to the gen4 radions but a third the price ! Great value and great performance! The fans are super quiet also ! I was blown away at the performance of these lights and I highly recommend to any reefer on any budget they just work! ... show more

I have had a saltwater tank for 10 years. I have always had super expensive lighting as my corals count on this. I decided to give the Nicrew a try because I was reading several reviews. You will not be disappointed in these lights. My only problem was that I had them up way to bright and I got algae. I adjusted them and now I am on the right track. Make sure you adjust the blue light carefully. I hate reading instructions so I just turned it on and went about my business. These lights are a fantastic price for what you get. I’m returning it because of the rainbow effect it has. I don’t know what else to call it. I don’t like it. I even bought the remote for $50 to adjust the light. I don’t know if all the lights do this or just this one. It looks really blue in my video but it wasn’t that blue in person. The things I did like was the mounting bracket and that they had a bunch of different accessories and replacement parts. ... show more

My coral seems to be responding well to this light. I gave only 4 stars because we have found the manual controls confusing. It might be easier with the remote control, but that doesn't come with it - and would cost another $50. It is probably user error - but still...

I have been reefing for almost a decade. Have tried most high end reef lights. The NavaReef 135 is a winner hands down. They didn’t waste diode space with unnecessary amounts of white LEDs. Instead this light is loaded with blue LEDs giving you the ability to use way more of the lights power without overpowering it with white lights like a fresh water light. I’m a novice my experience works great you can dial back intensity with the controller sold separately. It’s annoying having to pay for a piece separately but it’s worth it. Manual control only get 30 ramp up and down. With the controller you get 1 hour and 2 hour. Plus choose exact amount of colors added. Controller isn't "needed," but I will be ordering one. The default programs you can cycle through are a good, useful variety. The light retain the spectrum and intensity when used with a simple external timer. Definitely put out the amount of light expected.
