UPDATED REVIEW I sent in for a exchange thinking maybe the Bulb was bad. GUESS WHAT. it is not the issue. The Bulbs both at the same distance and bulb warmed up still both read below a 2 with my UVB meter. We swapped and tested each bulb in the new and to be returned fixture, same reading. We changed out to a different brand 10.0 and it was 2.5-4.5 at the same distance. Its confusing as how i get at the same distance through a screen (Screens block out about 40% of UVB) a 5-7 reading with the other brands 10.0 Bulb and Fixture. So Long story short, if you have a reptile that is in need of a particular Fergison zone, make sure to have a UVB meter to make sure the bulb and fixture work correctly. This doesnt work. I will be picking up locally the other brand and sending this and the replacement back. My Bearded dragon's health is priority. REVIEW #1 The fixture works fine. I always check the uvb in my enclosures. I just set this up Last night before moving in my new dragon. This bulb has only been used by me for a total of 8 hours, and this close directly under it, it reads below 2 on the Fergison meter. My reptisun bulb just like this that is 6 months old reads a 7 with my meter at the same distance and through a screen. A new bulb should not have the UVB output of a year-old bulb. ... show more
