My iguanas pretty long and this works well for his set up. My bulb recently burned out, but that was after quite a few months of use. I definitely prefer the tube's over the bulbs and would recommend this.

    • Great but plug in needs redesigned, broke in 4 months!!!

Product worked great except I am using a normal tank so therefore it Hass to sit on top. It gets moved in order to feed and clean my dragons tank and get him out. After a month and a half the light started shorting out and I would have to push the plug back in to the end of the fixture. As of last night it stopped working completely and blew the bulb out. I should have gotten another 3 to 5 months out of a very expensive bulb, and now I am stuck with an expensive fixture that I am going to have to rewire and hardwire the cord in so that it will work correctly. Incredibly poor design, they should have use the same type of plug that is used on portable radios for the last 40 years and it would still be working great! If you are mounting this inside an Enclosure or somewhere else where it will not ever move then it would be perfect. If you think there is any chance of ever moving find a better fixture this one is junk! ... show more

The first one wasn’t packaged right and we received it damaged. I talked to customer service and they sent another one out right away. This one was packed properly and it works great!!

At first this fixture seemed good. After about four months the bulb was very dim. Thought it was the bulb so I swapped it out. After a month or so bulb started flickering and eventually went dim again. Put a new bulb in and will not light up completely. Will not allow full brightness except on a momentary flicker. Fixture defective. Would not purchase again. I will look to another brand ... show more
