Installation instructions where very good and the "tips" where right on. I would make a suggestion to would be installers. I did have a problem with one of the new bolts threading in properly. Don't give up and be careful not to cross thread the existing threads. The metal sheeting of the car body just held the bolt from lining up (we are talking about a very minor alignment issue but enough to keep the bolt from lining up.) I was about to use a drill and gently enlarge the hole in the car metal so that the bolt would lineup better with the threaded hole or use some a very small amount of lubricant on the threads. The later worked great no drilling needed. I completed the installation and its a very solid rack system. Remember when working with threads slow with patience is the way to go. A great product and looks great on my 2014 GC Overland....Now I have to find the right rack.

Once installed, these roof crossbars are solid and look nice. Fair warning, the instructions are minimal. The manufacturer assumes you have some mechanical awareness. For those that need a little more help, let me provide you with step-by-step instructions: (1) use the smaller hex wrench to loosen the single bolt on each of the long bar end-caps. (2) remove the end caps (3) slide the long rubber gasket into the top groove using the gasket's footing to fit into place. (Note: this will initially slide in easily, but about a third of the way in, it gets more difficult, and you will have to thumb push inch-by-inch until it reaches the other end. (4) replace the end caps making sure to fit the top of the end cap over the rubber gasket you have just slid in first. It'll pop on with some wiggling and pressure. (5) attach each of the feet using the smaller screws, but larger hex wrench. (Note, each of the feet is marked on the inside with LF, RF, LR, and RR,...left front, right front, left rear, right rear,... the front feet and the rear feet will only fit into specific slots on one of the bars, so you'll have to figure that part out,... it should be pretty obvious, but to make sure - you'll know you have the correct foot in the right spot if the screw holes for attaching the foot are clearly accessible and not covered at all). Don't tighten the feet all the way down. You want them to be able to slide back and forth for now (they slide about a quarter of an inch is all). (6) if you have a new trailblazer that has not yet had the rail plugs removed, that's the next step - remove the rail plugs. These are small, soft plastic plugs found on the inside of each roof rail - four on each side. Use a flat head screwdriver to wedge between the plastic plug's edge and the rail insert. Wiggle until you have enough leverage to create a gap. Then use a needle nose pliers to grab the edge of the plug. Use brute force to pull the plug out directly. (Note, the plug will be misshapen as it comes out. It is not likely that you will ever be reinserting these. If you need to cover the plug hole later, plan to use some electrical tape or similar.) (7) When attaching the cross bar, understand that the left side is the driver side. Place the front cross bar carefully over the roof, lining it up with the rail screw holes. Before inserting the screws, lift the bar up and place the rubber footing gasket onto the foot. You will note there are two little holes on the foot that line up perfectly with two rubber studs on the gasket. The gasket does not necessarily seal to the foot even with the rubber studs inserted into their proper holes, so as you place the footing and bar back over the screw holes on the roof rail, do so in a manner in which you can manage to keep the rubber gasket in place. (8) Install the larger screws through the foot and into the rail. (9) Once every screw is installed, go around with the larger hex wrench and tighten everything down, including the screws used to attach the feet to the cross bar.

Once installed these seem fine. They came with some pictures (see photo) but there aren’t really instructions - and I probably wouldn’t have looked at them anyway. At least until I got to the back rail. The front went on easily. The back rail seemed way too short. There are two screws in each side of the rail used to keep them attached to the connection elbows. If you attempt to use both screws on each side though the rail is about an inch too short. At least to attach to the middle spot to the middle (there’s a third spot to put a rail up there but my rooftop box will only fit if I use the spot in the middle). Once I figured out that I had to remove a screw on each side it was fine. I was initially worried that would make it weaker but it seems secure as long as it’s fastened to the vehicle correctly. They work fine. Looks: The factory roof rack is glossy and these are a matte black. Also the hardware used to secure the rails are silver instead of black. Minor complaints but definitely things I noticed. I’d buy these again but would have appreciated some instructions.

These crossbars were easy enough to install. Screw them in and they are done. Instructions aren’t good, but it isn’t hard to figure it out. Bad: these things whistle. Bad. Any speed above 30 mph and it starts. And just gets louder the faster you go. Avoid.

This cross bar kit fits my 2021 Chevy Trailblazer Activ perfectly! Installation was relatively easy - took maybe an hour, mostly because I was going up and down a ladder and back & forth side to side to attach the supports. Instructions included with the kit are marginally helpful, but fortunately everything is pretty intuitive how it goes together. The kit includes sets of two different screw lengths which aren't mentioned in the instructions as which go where, but it was easy to figure out the longer ones were for attaching the supports to the car's rails and the shorter ones were for attaching the rack cross bars to their supports. Needle-nose pliers were helpful in pulling the rubber strip through the channel on top of each rail (they cover the support screw hardware.) The rubber strip was also not mentioned in the instructions, but again - pretty intuitive. Once everything was tightened up it feels rock solid. The next test will be attaching the cargo basket to these rails. Very happy with this purchase!

Fit my 2023 Chevy Trailblazer perfectly. Well made, and solid on the roof. They look good, and don't produce much wind noise. The directions are not good. Poor english, small, and terrible diagrams. It assumed the racks come assembled, but they do not. You'll need some mechanical instincts and experience to put them all together.
