Synopsis: This device started my car in a matter of seconds after a quick plug and play. I didn't even have to charge the device before it's first use because it came with 100% charge. So, literally I opened the box, plugged in the booster cables and put it on my car and started driving to a car wash. I have a 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid, which I found dead recently due to lack of use because I've been driving my other car during the pandemic. This is my first hybrid which is awesome however the car is virtually electric and I'm not familiar with the electronics and boosting this type of vehicle. Thus, I got this purchase on a whim because I am used to the old fashioned jumper cables or booster packs that were the size of a car battery. However, The changing times inspired me to make this multi-use purchase that I would definitely keep if it was able to boost my car. The connections were simple enough, so simple that I read the directions multiple times because I thought I was missing something. I plugged in the short booster cables to the tiny booster box and attached it to my car. My car nearly instantly turned on, so much so that I thought it hadn't worked because it wasn't running. The booster charged up my battery and activated all the electronics immediately. Furthermore, after checking, the booster pack still stated 100%. this is one of the best and most affordable purchases I've made as far as car accessories. Not only can it boost my vehicle when I forget to start it every once in awhile, it can also charge my phone via the USB-C cord that was included and it even has an LED light if I'm stuck on the road or visit my family in the country so I can light my path and avoid huge spider webs. Furthermore, the package is so compact that I can keep it in my car rather than charge it in my basement like my old huge booster packs. I don't plan on letting my card I often, however I'm so excited to use this device in the future.

I love the compact size, power output and the fact that you can register for a free 2 yr warranty for this jump starter. Upon delivery the jump starter showed 75% capacity. I charged it to 100%, followed the instructions in the manual and tried to jump the dead battery in my 2017 Toyota 86 that hadn't been driven for about 2 weeks. The status light on the Smart Boost cable had a constant red light with an audible beep and I was unable to jump the battery. The manual states, "Red light CONSTANT with buzzing - Output has been cut due to (a) Short circuit, (b) Over current, (c) Over temperature, (d) Over voltage and/or (e) Reverse connection. Disconnect Smart Boost cable from unit and battery to reset." I disconnected and reconnected the cable with the same results. Thought that I had made a bad purchase but I was wrong. It appears that my battery's voltage was too low to take the jump because the manual also states, "When the car battery voltage is less than 3v, the SmartBoost cable will disable the Jump Start function." I was able to jump the battery with traditional jumper cables, took the battery to be tested and found out that the battery is a few months shy of the end of it's service life. After the battery charged for a while, I reconnected the jump starter just to test the cable status lights and I did get the green constant light indicating the car could be started. So to end this long review, I'd like to say that I am happy with my purchase, just know that if your battery is completely dead that the jump starter may not start your car.

I received this yesterday, charged it until full, then tested it today on a work van with a 5.4L V8 with a completely drained battery. The van has been sitting for several months, and I left the lights on all morning, until the door chimes would not sound when the key was inserted. I was a bit skeptical after seeing how small, and light this unit is, and how simple it looks. I will also be carrying it on my motorcycle, especially when touring. I jump started the van twice, not only did it start, but it spun the engine over quickly. I don't know how many times I could have started the van, but that is kind of irrelevant. This is for emergency dead battery situations, and it can easily be recharged once the vehicle is running using the USB cable. After seeing how easy it is to use, and how well it works, I ordered four more for my children's cars.

It's incredible that this little box (fits easily in a console or glovebox) can jumpstart my big van, but it did and there was no waiting for it to charge or anything like that. She started up immediately and this was on a completely dead battery. Just to test it, I tried it several times without recharging it and it never wavered. I got 4-5 jump starts out of it and the charge never fell below 50%. So, this isn't something you'll have to take into the house every night to charge. Also, the clips look small, but were plenty big and opened wide enough to be able to clip to my battery cables. I don't know what else the more expensive brands might offer that would make them worth spending more money, but if you're just needing something to jump start your car in an emergency, this gets the job done. Truly, I couldn't be happier with my purchase and I'm kind of wondering why I didn't get myself one of these years ago and I plan to give them as gifts next holiday season.
