This seemed like a silly gimmick but it has become my favorite lighter, and I have many. The color changing LED is a bit silly but it doesn't detract from all the good parts. The flame is strong but not so powerful you have to worry about it. I'm a cigar smoker and it does a perfect job there. You don't have to hold a belligerent button down to maintain a flame. It counts the number of time you have used it. I don't know how long the battery last because after more than 100 lights, it's still going strong without a recharge. The way it works is what makes it fun. Click the button and then just tip it over and it lights. Over 100 times now and has not failed once! Because it's so easy to light this could be a safety issue but as someone who can be clumsy at times, there has never been an accident. But I strongly urge anyone who gets this to keep it far from the reach of children. Super reliable and it holds quite a bit of butane fuel to go a long time. The window shows the amount of fuel a lot better than many other lighters and it has been more solid than quite a few far more expensive brands.

Nice lighter with newer shake to ignite technology. It is a bit larger than expected, but definitely fits in your pocket. It does use more battery power than normal auto lite lighters due to the multicolor LEDs that glow when in use so it does need recharging more frequently than others, however it does accept rapid charge and charges from 5% to 95% in about 15 minutes. Also uses more butane as expected due to the triple flame, but one fill of butane lasts a full charge and then some. I am going to assume it needs refilled when recharged to avoid running empty while on the go. I just love the silent ignition feature with no loud click that seems to reverberate and echo like many traditional lighters.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this out of curiosity because to be honest... I thought this was going to be the house burner downer 9000! That said, in the wrong hands, perhaps it could be. Safety concerns aside, what arrived was a shockingly well made and very nice looking torch lighter. Well packaged, like, very well packaged. This would be a fantastic gift! The triple torch design will ensure that SOMETHING gets hot, but honestly this isn't the best thing for something simple like lighting a candle, as I attempted to do casually. I suppose this would be better for cigars and such, but I did find it handy when I did some electrical work that needed a good bit of shrink tubing applied. Refilling is quick and easy, lighting is even quicker. Push the little switch on the side straight up towards the top of the lighter and the gas will begin to flow until you purposefully turn it back off manually with the same switch. Once the dino farts start to leak out, just tilt the lighter over about 90 degrees and a little ball bearing switch inside will light the torches. This works well about 95% of the time, and if it does not, you are likely flipping the lighter too quickly, or you have your flame height set to high or too low. Battery life far exceeds the life of your tank of fuel, so no worries there! All in all, I would say that this nice little lighter is a great deal at just over $15.00. Its very well made, has a nice weight to it and though its mostly a novelty item, it DOES function well. It really shouldn't need to be said, but I am going to say it anyways.... don't put this lighter anywhere that a child can reach it. Lighters are dangerous enough and due to the design of this particular unit, it becomes FAR more dangerous in the hands of a child, or really any adult that isn't paying attention to what they're doing. I can see someone going to light this thing only to put it down and forget to shutoff the gas, then it falls over and problems occur in the accidental house fire variety.

The media could not be loaded. This lighter puts out a ton of fire. The triple jet flame is strong and lights very easily — you don’t actually need to do a full “shake” motion to ignite it, despite what the design suggests. It’s great for starting fires or lighting something quickly, but it does burn through fuel fast (which is expected with a flame this powerful). One thing to be very aware of: it’s surprisingly easy to hold the lighter backward if you’re not paying attention. If that happens, the flame blasts straight into your palm the moment it ignites. Not a product I’d hand to just anyone, and definitely not something to use casually. For me, it does the job I bought it for, and I’ll keep using it with extra caution. Just be aware of the orientation and the strength of the flame. *Edit: reduced to 1 star as after few uses, before reaching the first butane refill (which goes fast), it no longer works. Shoes full charge, gas comes out, some lights, sometimes none, no spark, no flame
