If you work on your car a lot or you need to disconnect the battery, this is a must have. I often end up loosing my settings (radio stations, customization of sound, Bluetooth, etc . . .) after disconnecting my battery. This device is a life saver. Just connect to the AC and connect the cable to you positive and negative battery cable then safely you can disconnect the battery from the cables. Everything continued to work as the cable still connected to the battery. Then you can safely remove the battery, put a new one in or do whatever maintenance you need with worrying about loosing your radio stations or Bluetooth or anything else. In my case, I had a lot of corrosion on and around the battery connectors that required a major clean up and completely pull the battery out. In about an hour and half that the battery was disconnected, I used this battery charger to provide power to the car without loosing the set up / configuration. Another use is when leaving for a two- or three-weeks’ vacation. Just connect it to the battery and it will keep the battery charged and conditioned for when you come back. This device works well as far as the functionality, but it has some room for improvement, specifically at this price ($59.99 at the time of ordering): 1- The cables on both sides are very short. I can remedy an extension cord for connecting to AC, but cable that connect to the battery need to be twice longer. 2- The battery clamps need to have silicone cover as they are very easily can slip out of hand. 3- the body of the charger is made of plastic that it can very easily slide. That part or at least the bottom of the charger need to be made of some material that provides a little grip or friction that does not slide easily.

I ordered this charger primarily to charge a 12 volt, 20Ah, LiFePO4 battery that I have. This charger has 5 different charging modes which make it easy to charge a variety of battery types. This charger can handle standard lead-acid battery types, AGM, LiFePO4, and motorcycle batteries. It also has a Repair mode and Trickle mode for lead-acid batteries. It is simple to use. Just hook up the battery clips to your battery, plug in the charger and select the battery type on the touch-screen. The charger starts charging your battery and the display shows the voltage, amps, temperature, and charge level which continually updates until the battery is fully charged. When it is fully charged, the screen shows FUL. See photos. My battery was about 80% charged already, so it only took about 5 minutes to become fully charged. Overall, I'm very happy with this charger and especially like how easy it is to use.

i needed a lifepo4 battery charger for my motorcycles and garden tractor. i use optima orange top and shorai lithium iron batteries. this little charger at under $50 usd just blows me away. power it on, use the mode button to select the battery type and it automatically goes about it's business bringing the battery up to full charge without any user input. it then goes into float mode to maintain the full charge, again all by itself. i don't have any damaged batteries to check the repair function and i did try it on my lead acid truck battery but it did not need to charge it as i have a charger connected to it when not in use. the unit is small, the display is huge and it just works. i don't usually give anything 5 stars unless i feel it has gone above and beyond my expectations. this charger for me ticks all the boxes. update- the unit i reviewed was an amazon vine unit i got free to review. i like this thing so much i went and bought another one, no freebee this time.

I used this today to charge the battery on a car that had been sitting a while. If I would have had this on as a trickle charger I probably wouldn't have had the problem. I like the messages and data on the display - when it was done it showed "FUL" and the actual voltage reading of the battery so at a quick glance I knew the charge was complete. I haven't used all the features, yet, but with winter coming up I like that it has a temp sensor to allow it to charge at the optimum level when the cold weather hits! I'm impressed with this so far!

Let me preface this review with the statement "I do NOT order items that I do not intend to use myself." That said; I ordered this because of the ability to charge/maintain a 24V system which my vintage Kenworth cabover has. My truck has been sitting without a maintainer on it for about 4 weeks so the batteries needed to be topped off then held. I put this unit on and it immediately sensed the 24V system and made the adjustment and automatically started to charge the batteries. I went out about 4 hours later and it had switched to the maintain/cycle mode and was doing a perfect job of it. I am very pleased with it to the point I ordered 4 more units to replace the other units I have on my vehicles that do not see a whole lot of use. I DO HIGHLY recommend this charger.
