This rug arrived folded up and shrink wrapped into a smallish square! As soon as I cut the plastic, it popped up. I got an initial whiff of a chemical smell, but it was gone by morning. When I unfolded the rug, I could see the lines from where it had been folded, but after it lay out all night, the lines were gone. I placed my rug under a bed and the rug fibers are soft and silky feeling and nice for bare feet when getting out of bed. While the fibers are soft and fluffy, it’s still a flat rug, so not very squishy. The silky feel made me think initially that I was slipping on the rug, and I was concerned. But then I realized it was just the feel of my foot going through the silky fibers and then the slippery feeling stopped. To try to be sure, I’ve been walking on the exposed area with and without shoes many times and haven’t slipped at all. I can’t say for certain what it would be like running across the whole length of the carpet. The backing itself seems to be working very well to hold the rug in place because the corners, which are typically a problem with area rugs, are staying flat. The color I got is navy blue. It is a true navy blue so is quite dark. It is darker than the color that appears on my monitor, which I know can vary, but suffice to say it is a very dark blue. I still like the color very much, but my husband thought it was black – but it’s definitely blue. And depending which way the fibers are laying, the color shows a little lighter or darker and is quite pretty. This is a very reasonably priced rug and for my purposes, I’m very pleased with it.

(After use, I need to knock this down one star. Synthetic fuzzy top is slippery to bare feet and socks. Possible risk to elderly.) It is fuzzy and soft and the foam back is nice and comfortable. I got it to lay on when I watch TV. I don't have a lot of money so I had been laying on a blue moving pad for a year. This new fuzzy grey rug was a treat to myself and I am glad I got it. I will use it every day. The photos show the grey fuzzy front and the white non skid foam back. In the photos is the rug and my pillows on the floor where I lay on because I don't have a couch yet. I am also showing you a photo of the same pillows on the blue moving pad I used to use so you can see how much this rug classed up my room and this new grey fuzzy rug is a major upgrade from the blue moving pad. I think it would be perfect in any colour for an 11 year old girls room. I am much older than that and I still like it a lot. The manufacturer description says it will fluff up to full softness in 3 days so I expect the faint lines from where it was folded to come out when the foam back expands but that is not an issue. I like it and my cat likes it.

So my honest opinion of this item is it’s just ok. If I was in a store and felt it I’d probably pass on it. It cokes folded into a small square where as other rugs usually come rolled up no biggy there it’s easier to move around the issue I have with it is the feel it feels very cheap and kind of thin. I don’t feel it’ll stand up to the foot traffic of the kids in their room but I could be wrong. From a distance it looks great but personally I wouldn’t purchase again.
