This is the first time I use this incubator. I have tried a different one first with poor results. I learned after research that it was probably due to too high humidity. I suggest getting something to measure the humidity. I keep the water out of the incubator and humidity was between 45-55%. On day 18 I added water when I removed the turning plate. Humidity then stayed between 75-80%. Be careful when replacing the lid. Two eggs get cracked and had to be removed. I had 80% hatch rate. The hydrometer that I bought to go with it also showed temperature. This incubator is in Celsius and preset to 38 and should equal 100F. I had to increase temp to 38.1C so it's a little off. ... show more

    • This thing is awful. Does not hold temperature at all
This incubator is so bad. Does not hold temperature at all. It has the water hooked up to it with no way to regulate the humidity. It was running at 70% humidity when you want 50% in the first 18 days. The heat is so inconsistent. I’ve wasted 24 eggs trying to get this thing to work properly and it is just absolutely junk. Eggs wouldn't even start to develop. I’m guessing because of the high humidity and to low of heat. Returning asap. ... show more

    • Works flawlessly
On our third batch of egg hatching and the only failures we have had are due to eggs not being fertile. Make sure on hatching day to remove the turn plate though as our first batch we forgot to do so and some of the chicks got their legs stuck. Despite that there were no injuries.

Got this back in November. Have ran two batches of chickens thru it. The first gave an 80% hatch rate and the second batch was 100%. Very easy to set up and maintain. Both groups hatched in nineteen days. Humidifier is bottle fed and pretty easy to refill. I would definitely recommend this incubator

    • nice for its price
Good for its price, when i first received it i was soooo confused on how to use it but once you figure out how everything works it’s actually a really nice incubator. My female duck just started laying and we also have a drake so eggs are fertilized and incubators are so expensive especially when you live on a small hobby farm. i also built my own incubator and have 2 eggs in that one and 2 eggs in this one, i’m excited to see which one works better :) ... show more
