Why pay more on the popular pick ? This does the job (and more) for Pennie’s on the $$$! I’ve found this slushie maker to be of excellent quality and I’ve enjoyed it very much. Easy to set up, operate, and cleanup is a breeze! The big brand can’t even do soft serve ice cream, like this one…and this one is less than half the price! Soft serve function works great, and it’s been a lot of fun trying new combos, figuring out the best ones, and enjoying all sorts of tasty treats. One which surprised me was the simplicity of adding Coca-Cola and adding cherry-colored syrup another was Root Beer with Whipping Cream and sugar. Tasted like a root beer float slushie! Lots of options and a lot of fun, too!

I'm not overly impressed with this machine so far. The instructions are confusing and don't explain some of the controls very well. For example, I couldn't figure out how to switch the temperature display to Fahrenheit to match the instructions. I am not opposed to Celsius (and I use it) but I'd prefer the units on the instructions to match the units used by the appliance. There's also a timer feature with options for 2, 4, and 6 hours, but nowhere in the manual could I find an explanation of what those settings actually do. Do they keep the machine running for that amount of time? Are they a preset for slush-making time? I honestly don't know. I assume it's the first one because who would want their slushie to take 6 hours? This is my second slushie machine so I do have another machine to compare it against. There are a few things I like about this one. The screen controls are sleek and the dispensing handle works better than my older machine. It was easy to fill and clean. Noise level is about the same as my other machine. It does put off a lot of heat behind the unit so make sure you have it ventilated. Unfortunately, the actual performance hasn't been great. My first test was with a margarita mix and it never slushed at all. I tried different settings and let it run for two(ish) hours but there was no frost formation and no slush. Thinking the mix might be the problem, I switched to regular full-sugar Coke. That did produce some ice crystals and got cold but the consistency was still nowhere near what I would consider a proper slushie. I was actually running this machine side-by-side with my older slushie machine and the older one consistently produced better results. I'll keep experimenting with different drinks and settings but at this point I suspect this machine simply isn't reaching the temperatures needed for good slushies or soft-serve style frozen drinks.

Item arrived oily inside the packaging. After letting item sit on the counter for a day, item did not work upon initial use. Error code of EO kept showing on the screen. Sent item back for refund

It does get the drinks frozen at first, but after about an hour everything melts again. We tried everything, but it still won’t keep anything frozen. On top of that, I ended up paying $21 for the return.
