Never needed a KVM until recently: didn't even know they existed. Took a chance on this one since both of my laptops use USB-C. Both of their power adapters run into the back, & 2 USB-C cables run out the back & into my devices. Mouse & keyboard are plugged into the front USB-A inputs, along w/ a monitor light; HDMI runs into an HD monitor on a stand. Also using the extension (see below). Switching takes about 3-5 seconds, which to me is a bit longer than I anticipated, & it my devices don't register as "on" when they're plugged in but not active, so they eventually go to sleep & switching the device to them doesn't always wake them up if they're in clamshell. The switch itself (which is thankfully smaller than I had anticipated) runs a bit hot, especially when multiple devices are plugged in & in use, but it's not terrible; I just worry about longevity. Honestly, the best part about it is the extension, which I run under my desk & taped it to the front underneath. It's a sneaky little thing to switch between devices, but oh so satisfying. When it goes out, I might explore another pricier option I also had my eye on, but I wouldn't be mad if I bought the same device again & ran with it a little longer. Thankful it's super simple & low profile.

I use this KVM to switch between a MBP & Dell laptop.. sharing a widescreen monitor, keyboard and mouse. I was hesitant because there was no reviews. Ha ha ha.. so glad I gave it a chance. It works perfectly for my use case.

I bought this to connect a MacBook Air and an HP zbook to a single monitor with the intent on switching back and forth without having to plug/unplug so many cables. This device works for that but unfortunately it creates a subtle noise (more like a frequency of some kind) that I couldn’t drown out and can’t ignore.

I have this hooked up to two computes, and it works fine for the second usb-c port but for some reason it doesn't display on the monitor for the first usb-c port. The keyboard and mouse switch over but very disappointed that the monitor doesn't.
