I got this specifically for the Pilates bar as I already have so many different brands of resistance bands. I’m bummed because I can’t really use the bar. I’m 5’3” and at my height, there’s no resistance..so there’s also no point in using it. I tried with all three of the bands and it feels the same. I’ve accepted that I may be just a little too short for this. I will pass it on to someone that can use it. Assembling the bar was easy and it seemed very sturdy but everything else was of mediocre quality ... show more

This is really a 3.5 but there are no half star options. It's a good product for the price, but there are way better quality ones on the market. This might be good for a beginner or if you don't want to spend a lot of money. Once you get more advanced you can always upgrade to a better set. One thing it was lacking was a band color strength grid. It could be that these are standard colors, but if you're a beginner how are you supposed to know which colors are assigned to which weight? ... show more

This is a great addition to any at home workout. Assembly is simple - Im not one to read instructions but I also didn't see any included. I had a little bit of a hard time connecting the poles but I figured out I had to switch them and it went in fine. I wish there was a link to some workout videos using this. It was a bit awkward at first but I found some youtube videos of people working out with these. It was still kinda awkward though and made me wonder if I was doing it right. But the workouts for the arms and back was nice. Initially I was hoping to use this for glute workouts but I think it's better for arms and back which are ones I usually have problems targeting at home. There are different resistance bands that come with it. The metal bar also feels sturdy when using and I have no fear that it will snap mid workout. Overall would still recommend to someone to try and to look up workout videos with it. ... show more

I really wanted to like this and use it when I travel for work. Most of the hotels have a fitness center but sometimes due to my schedule it's easier to work out in my hotel room. A major drawback is the lack of information from any exercises to the resistance of the bands. I mean, it is fairly easy to figure out but I didn't really feel a major difference in the resistance between the 3 colors. There is a QR code to scan for exercises but they are pretty lacking as well. The upside is it comes with a bag to store it all in. Which is good because I'm pretty sure that's where this is going to end up staying. $29.99 at the time of this review. Thanks for reading, I hope this was helpful. ... show more

    • Bands are flimsy but the bar is great!
Everything but the bands themselves is wonderful. If you have other resistance bands that work with pilates bars, but don't have the bar itself, then this would be great. I can't recommend the bands themselves though... even the hardest difficulty bands offer me no challenge whatsoever. I almost feel like I'm going to break them. There's also no easy way to break the bar back down for storage, so I've just left it as-is on a storage cart. ... show more

I will start this review by saying that I have never done Pilates before, so I am definitely in the "novice" category, which put me at a disadvantage. Flaw number one with this set is that there are no real directions, beyond the assembly. I did look up more, but, in my opinion, there should have been a booklet included. Especially for people like me who are clueless. (And people who really know Pilates might find the bands do not provide enough resistance, because they are in better shape!) The second flaw is that if you are under 5'-5", you are too short to get any real resistance from the bands, which should be mentioned. I'm slightly taller, so I am getting some benefit. I am liking the system, but feel that these two issues should be addressed for it to be better. ... show more

This is a good set of resistance bands for beginners and/or seniors because: 1) the set is easy to assemble even without directions and 2) the bands provide resistance, but not as much as those you're given by a physical therapist. They'll provide good exercise, especially if you're not able to get outside or go to a gym. The biggest downside is there are no instructions provided. When you scan the QR code they provide, you do see illustrations of exercises (see 2 photos), but there are no instructions on how to properly do them. ... show more

It is a handy, well designed item. Very durable and are comfortable in the hands. I love this Pilates bar. It is very easy to put together and I could easily figure it out without any instructions. It will work out for Butt, Core, Legs, Arms. It had everything you need for a great workout already included in the box. The handles are foam covered, Everything is well stitched. Tubing has good resistance all types of bands to help with your workout. Works every muscle in your body. But the resistance were poor, you need use all of 3 to get some decent amount of stretch in the bands .you can Just add some simple weights and you are ready to go. ... show more
