I had an 18 year old Rinnai tankless water heater and replaced it with this model. It is quite an upgrade, going from 82% efficiency to 98% efficiency. I also love the speed of hot water getting to remote faucets compared to the old model. It was taller than the previous model, so I needed to do some plumbing, but it is so much easier to work with copper now that you can use hydraulic fittings instead of sweating pipes. I also needed to shorten the propane line but was able to do that by turning off the propane at the tank and bleeding the line. Took one day to install, a few hours of which involved getting the old tank off. Setup was simple and the tank does all the rest automagically. It runs extremely quiet and everyone is happy in our eight person household. Great product! ... show more

It’s awesome! Saved 360 kw hours the first moth after making the switch and even with the ability to run a long shower we barely moved the needle for natural gas and water consumption! Wish we’d done this years ago! 1000% better economy saving that the p.o.s. AO smith heat pump hybrid water heaters ( yes 2 ) that both failed after 18 months! ... show more

It is a fine product, I just didn't know that the pipes in an old house are 1/2" and the connectors on new waterheaters are 3/4". So it wouldn't fit my pipes.

Really terrible, how they convinced anyone this brand is quality is beyond me. Overpriced & doesn’t include everything needed (ie- you have to buy a separate module to even connect to the app and get wifi access on the unit.) Takes FOREVER to heat up without the recirculating loop, and this 11 GPM unit has worse flow than a cheap Chinese model (Mizudo- 7GPM) that I had before this. Their app and customer support are atrocious, seriously the app doesn’t even load past the logo screen so good luck connecting to the unit via your phone. ... show more
