I had a really hard time pairing this device with my SmartThings hub. The thing that finally got it working was to perform a factory reset on each of the switches. I purchased two of these, and both had the same issue. The manual explains how to do the factory reset, and once done, they have worked perfectly with my system. I am purchasing a third one, and I will just perform the reset procedure before pairing it this time.

This plug's got a lot to recommend it. Yes, it's weatherproof within reasonable bounds, maybe even some unreasonable but someone else can sort that out. It's easily added to hubs (Hubitat C7 in this case), whether through inclusion processes or QR code scan. The QR code scan approach automatically brings along all functionality, important here being the dimming. Sometimes, "dimmable" means "dimmable in +/- 5% increments." When, for example, this is a "dimmable smart bulb" the imposition of this restriction is lessened as the bulb will simply do what it does and this has to be tolerated. In other words, it's going to do what it can do irrespective of what's asked of it. Some hardwired Z-Wave wall switches may have similar limitations to dimming range, but even when these do not the bulb(s) in the connected fixture(s) need to either match these specifications or the switch will need to be programmed to match the increment (i.e., programmed to transition in the same incremental steps). All this running on about dimming has been to set up a "Wow!" This plug is being used indoors with a two-plug splitter attaching two table lamps to it so that these can be controlled together, as the plug can handle much larger loads than two LED bulbs, because the dimming is so smooth. Before this, hadn't fully appreciated how far off from being fully dimmable many things are, but now every flicker of a non-dimmable bulb that's supposed to be dimmable is particularly irritating. Everything this plug does is done well.
