Oh my these are easy to set up! I had a set like this a few years ago I used at a 2nd home on a 2ghz router that worked great. I tried to move the old plugs to a new Xfinity router and they would not connect at all. Xfinity is impossible to change any router settings so I bought these. They are literally the easiest smart appliance I have ever connected. Download the Smart Life App and log in. Plug the smart plug in, hold the button on the side for 5 seconds it will slow blink. Open the app. It automatically detected a new item. Tap connect. Log in to your Wi-Fi. That’s it. So easy. 5 star!! Easy to set a schedule or just manually tap the on off button in the app. I use for a lamp in a second home for the appearance that somebody is occasionally home! ... show more

    • One works, one does not!!! UPDATE!!!
I wrote the following review and received an email from the company. They sent me two new plugs that work, so I have amended my review to give them 5 stars for a quality product and excellent customer service. I only had one plug that didn't work, but they sent me a set of two, so I have a spare for future use. I am very satisfied customer. I bought these plugs because I have 5G wi-fi. The first one worked flawlessly and is still working. Today I tried to install the second plus. It keeps telling me to connect to 2.4G wi-fi. i do not want to mess with my router, so I went online and did all the troubleshooting tips, but still the plug does not work on my 5G wi-fi. I cannot find a way to contact the manufacturer directly; hopefully, they will read this review and contact me. I want either a new plug that works on 5G wi-fi or half my money back - either seems fair to me. ... show more

I was looking for a 5Ghz plug so I could set it farther from my router. THESE ARE GREAT! And a breeze to setup. The 2.4Ghz Wemo ones I had were a REAL pain in the neck to get working. These are a real blessing.

For several years the only way you could afford a smart plug for use on a 5ghz network was if you sacrificed your first born. Okay, only kidding but they WERE expensive if you could even find them. I was so surprised to have found this earlier in the week and as soon as I did, I ordered 2 for our workplace that has two lamps. We had to use the old style timers because even though our network allowed both 5ghz and 2.4ghz there was no way to tell the plugs which spot to use on the router and they always wanted to connect to the 5ghz. Anyway, I received these yesterday and it took all of 2 minutes to setup! EUREKA. It's about time!!!!!!!! These are awesome and I'm going to order more for my home to start phasing out my 2.4ghz smartplugs. ... show more

easy to set up. After updating my wifi from dual band to fiber optic 5g I needed to update my 2.4g smart plugs. Nothing wrong with the 2.4 plugs if you have dual band wifi

This plug is working exactly the way I wanted. I was a little concerned whether it woud work on my 5 ghz network since it seemed to be grayed out when I manually set up one plug. But, it did connect and is very stable, works perfectly. Very happy with this product.
