PRODUCT DESCRIPTION A control plug designed to connect our UIS controllers to outlet devices. By connecting your grow equipment to one of our controllers, you can automate it with temperature and humidity triggers, scheduling, cycles, timers, and more. It will also join the UIS platform of smart controllers and grow equipment that work together to create the ideal environment for your plants. Our WiFi- enabled smart controllers allow you to monitor and control your grow on your phone from anywhere while providing data charts and alert notifications via the AC Infinityapp. Only works with equipment that can automatically start running when they receive power from an outlet, see below for compatibility details. Includes a 10-foot UIS cord to connect to our CONTROLLER 69, CONTROLLER 69 WiFi, or CONTROLLER 69 PRO for expanded flexibility when mixing and matching grow equipment. EQUIPMENT COMPATIBILITY Only outlet devices that can automatically start running when they are plugged in into an outlet are compatible. This plug controls equipment to turn on/off by cutting its power or allowing power to passthrough its outlet. This is great! Very budget friendly for a heater setup. The plug is large but it is very easy to connect and worked immediately with my controller. I have a low watt heater that is either on or off and this works perfectly. I was able to save with this setup and it works very well with the Controller AI+. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to save some money if you already have some equipment lying around. Controls offered are for; fans (vent/circulation), heater/ac, light, humid/dehumidifier, CO2, and H2O pump. I can imagine potential in this since AC Infinity would be able to update their firmware to add more device support. This will not work for items that need an additional power initiation, meaning this essentially turns the outlet on or off. If you need to push a button on the "fan" or "heater" after plugging it in, this will not work for you. ... show more

Worked great adding secondary, non-OEM bar lights and syncing them with the main overhead. Now they all work together thru the controller with no issues. It is a tad bulky and covers a few outlets on a power strip.

⚠️ IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING for AC Infinity Controller Users Regarding the UIS™ Control Plug Adapter ⚠️ Subject: Potential Risk Using the UIS™ Control Plug Adapter Directly with High-Power Appliances (ACs, Dehumidifiers, Heaters) Hey fellow AC Infinity users, This is a heads-up regarding the AC Infinity UIS™ Control Plug Adapter. While incredibly useful for integrating non-UIS devices, there's a potential safety risk if you use it directly to switch high-power appliances, especially those with motors or compressors like portable air conditioners, dehumidifiers, or larger heaters. The Problem: High Inrush Current: Appliances with motors (like ACs) draw a significantly higher current for a brief moment when they start up (this is called "inrush current"). Adapter Limitations: The UIS adapter, essentially a smart relay in a plug format, may not be designed to consistently handle these high inrush currents or the continuous high load of these powerful devices. Potential Risks: Directly connecting these high-load devices to the UIS adapter could lead to: Adapter Failure/Burnout: The adapter's internal components could overheat and fail prematurely. Controller Damage: A failing adapter could potentially damage the connected AC Infinity Controller port. Fire Hazard: Overheating electrical components always carry a risk of fire. The SAFER Solution without burning your house down: Use a Contactor and Circuit Breaker! To safely control your high-power appliance using the AC Infinity system, you should use the UIS adapter only to control a contactor (a heavy-duty electrical relay). The contactor will handle the actual switching of the high power load. You also MUST include a dedicated circuit breaker for proper protection. How it Works: The AC Infinity Controller tells the UIS Adapter to turn ON or OFF. The UIS Adapter sends a small control signal (likely 120V AC) to the contactor's coil (A1/A2 terminals). This small signal energizes the contactor's coil, causing it to close its main power contacts (L1/T1, L2/T2, etc.). The high power for your appliance flows from your wall outlet, through the dedicated circuit breaker, through the contactor's main contacts, and finally to a dedicated outlet where your appliance is plugged in. When the UIS adapter turns OFF, the contactor coil de-energizes, its main contacts open, and the power to your appliance is cut. This setup isolates your sensitive controller and UIS adapter from the damaging high power and inrush current. What You Need (Typical US Components (im from austria, i dont know exactly) - ALWAYS verify for your specific appliance!): Contactor: Load Rating: Must be rated for your appliance's voltage (likely 120V AC, but check!) AND amperage (check your appliance's nameplate - e.g., 15A, 20A). Choose a contactor rated at least slightly higher than your appliance's max current draw. Pole Configuration: For a standard US 120V appliance (with a regular NEMA 5-15P plug), a 2-pole contactor is ideal (switches both the hot and neutral wires). Coil Voltage: CRITICAL! The contactor's coil voltage MUST MATCH the output voltage of the UIS adapter. This is almost certainly 120V AC for the US market UIS adapter. Using the wrong coil voltage will destroy the contactor or it won't work. Look for "Coil: 120V AC" or similar on the contactor specs. Example Search Term: "2 pole 20 amp contactor 120v coil DIN rail mount" Circuit Breaker (MCB - Miniature Circuit Breaker): Rating: Must match the circuit protection required for your appliance and wiring (commonly 15A or 20A for standard 120V circuits).     • Integrates will with controllers but sometimes fails.
Keep in mind these operate as on-off switches and do not control the level of anything plugged into them. In general, these work very well. My only negative that out of 3 adapters I own two have failed to either turn off or turn on about 3-4 times in the 2.5 years I used them.
