these remotes work pretty good. It’s easy to set them up but it is sort of odd way to do it but it is simple to do. One has to follow the directions. Duh!. The remotes are powered by small batteries and it’s a little difficult to see which end of the battery is plus and which is minus. I needed this!!!! When you don’t feel like getting outa the bed to turn off the lamp… this is what you need. I wanted to buy a lamp that has a remote control, instead I saw this. No setup. Fast. Just plug the unit into the wall and then plug your device into the unit. The price is right. The pack came with 3 wall units and a remote. I even plugged in my fan.     • Take the insulating sleeve off the battery

Works exactly as hoped for. BUT! Minor but annoying; did not see the plastic wrap around the batteries and the "reset" directions need an upgrade -ie. you MUST push the ON Button BEFORE the lights go off to get the "click" and successful reset of the outlet unit. The units ARE preset if one does not mess things up with the insulating sleeve on the batteries, making the remote very in-operative. It is a nice touch to have "batteries included. They are a short - like an "AAA" but the 12v type. ... show more
