In our push button, remote controlled, convenience centric world, this is an excellent product to bring new life to lesser "advanced" appliances. Have you ever thought to yourself "I love this but gee... I wish I could control it from my favorite lounger with a remote control". And, truth be told, most things these days come along with a remote control. But what about items that we love and use daily, (like attractive high-end lighting), which did not originally come with a remote control? Well... here is your answer. Enter these Mini Wireless Remote Control Outlet Switches, your new best friend! I couldn't be more in love with them. Here’s a personal example: I have three tall floor lamps in my living room, and at the end of a long day, there’s nothing I enjoy more than sinking into my cozy leather recliner with some music and just decompressing for a little while. Thanks to these devices, if I happen to have forgotten to turn the lights on or off, or change my mind, I don’t have to get up, instead I lift a finger to adjust my lighting. What a pleasure it is to be able to relax in my favorite spot and not have to get up to turn these three lights on or off. That's just one example. These little gizmo work great right out of the box. There is no setup other than plugging them into a wall outlet and plugging the item you wish to be controlled into the receiver you have just plugged into your wall outlet... Oh, and putting 1 (included) battery in the remote. Here’s where it gets even better; One remote controls up to three different receivers. They’re pre-set so that each button on the remote corresponds to a specific receiver, button one for receiver one, button two for receiver two, and so on. But if you want to mix it up, you can adjust the settings to fit your needs. They arrive with the most logical configuration though, so you’ll be up and running right away. One other additional thing I would like to mention is yet another perk; the remotes are universal. So, if you get more than one set, you can control multiple receivers with the same remote. I started with one box of three, then couldn’t resist and ordered another. Now, I control all six units with a single remote! Plus, the best part is you don’t require "line-of-sight" to make them work, another bonus that makes things just a little bit easier. If you're wondering whether I recommend them... absolutely! I am loving these little devices and highly recommend them. They are working seamlessly. Ordered an thought 5 outlets and 2 remotes would be great. Works as described. I see alot of bad reviews of the remote being dead with new batteries. I thought the same at first. You need to take the shipping plastic off of the batteries. Hard to see it but its there. My only complaint is the remote having 5 raised buttons will engage and cause other outlets to energize when its in your pocket. A recessed button would fix this. I jave to make sure I haven't tuned anything in without knowing. Also would be nice to have single remotes or be able to pair with garage door opener remote for example.

Bought the 5pk with 2 remotes in Dec 25' for$24.29. --- These things are handy little gizmos. I got them to use with outdoor Christmas lights and lawn inflatables during the holidays. Wrap them well in plastic shopping bags to protect them from the elements. --- The remote uses a low power radio signal, you can probably go 100ft out in the open. If you have a lot of walls between the remote and the desired outlet, the distance will be less. Mine will reach out about 50ft after going through 2 inside walls and the bricks on the outside wall of the house. That's plenty for my needs. --- The remotes use an uncommon battery, 12volt 23amp. They're probably not in your home battery drawer/box but they're easy enough to get and aren't very expensive. I don't know how long they'll last, but I suspect a year or two. The outlets don't need batteries as they use the wall power for their radio receiver. --- These would be a great option for people with mobility issues, they can turn on/off multiple lights, fans, etc. with a single remote. --- Anyway, I'm very happy with these devices and hope they last a long time.
