  • Excellent product
Style: Ultra Mini 4-Pack
I have been using this device for over 8 months now. I can attest to the fact that it works great and it was very easy to setup. It is well made and great for the price. All 4 pieces I’m using have worked flawlessly. I use them to control my kids access to electronic devices at home: game console, TVs etc. I highly recommend this product. I had no issues with compatibility and the timer function has worked solidly. My kids now know it’s a waste of time to try and wake up too early to watch tv or play a game as the devices won’t turn on. ... show more

  • Simply works
Style: Ultra Mini 4-Pack
Super easy to setup. Timers actually work and can be done based on sunrise and sun set times for your location. All controlled in the Kasa app. Very good quality and stays connected.

  • Better than a plug-in timer
Style: Homekit Compatible
These are awesome. Best friends of ours suggested these and man we wish we knew about these sooner! It only takes me about 1-2 minutes to sync them to my phone, and once I sync 1 to my Amazon account app they all automatically sync right on up. So u addition to using my phone I can also use the Alexa which is stinking awesome. Easy to setup and control and honestly cheaper than a plug-in timer and works 10x bettee ... show more

  • Love these plugs!
Style: Ultra Mini 4-Pack
Great product, they work well and help me control fans, lights and various things in my house. The Kasa app is easy to use. I would have given them a 5 rating, but the size is a little awkward when using with a power strip.

  • Perfect Replacement for Wemo
Style: Ultra Mini 4-Pack
We had an investment in Wemo smart plugs and switches. Cloud support for Wemo is being discontinued leaving most Wemo gear useless. A couple of discussion boards recommended Kasa so I thought I'd give them a try. I'm glad that I did! First off, the Kasa smart plugs are much smaller than the old Wemo units. Setup is extremely simple. Make note of your WiFi network name (SSID) and password as you'll need them the first time. Install the Kasa app -- iPhone and Android are supported -- set up an account and password, and follow the prompts. That's it! One thing that is not mentioned in the app during setup is that you may need to disable the feature that switches from WiFi to cellular internet automatically. This tripped me up but once I disabled it, setup worked every time. The app offers a lot of features such as integration with 3rd party services and applications. I haven't delved into those as I really don't need them. I did dig through setting up some automated actions such as turning off a lamp at midnight and turning the porch lights on at dusk and off at dawn. Getting them set up is a bit kudgy but once I figured it out it works flawlessly. ... show more

  • Easy to set up and use
Style: Ultra Mini 4-Pack
i bought 4 of these, and ordered 4 more later. They are great when you want to turn lamps and other devices on and off automatically - especially when you are not home. Install the app, plug one into the wall and plug in your device, then set up the device on your app. The smart plug mini only uses one 3-prong 120V outlet. Couldn't be easier to use. ... show more

  • Good purchase
Style: Ultra Mini 4-Pack
Works well. Arrived on time. Purchased to be able to schedule on off times for aquarium lights, turn on off wireless router. Very happy with them. Didn't need all four but I am finding places to use them!

  • Beware! NO warranty!
Style: Ultra Mini 4-Pack
The product is fine. At first I thought it was great and I ended up buying 18 of them. Later I found some would turn off out of sudden and would have no means to figure out why or when exactly they turned off as there is no log of any kind in the app, so you have no idea when a plug got turned on or off. Implementing history/logs should be a trivial task, but for some reason it's nonexistent. Randomly turning on or off is a major issue, whatever the cause is! App has a few glitches too. The biggest one is I'd want to turn off one plug but would end up turning off the one above it - extremely frustrating, especially when the one above it is used by your network router or other important device! Changing Wi-Fi is impossible and you have to re-register the device which might be fine for when you have 1 but having to do it for 30+ Kasa devices every time you change SSID, router or make whatever change to your home network because of which it doesn't want to (re)connect anymore is major pain in the butt. Even if it loses connectivity and stays offline for a while, it doesn't even attempt to retry and you need to unplug it and re-plug it each time which is especially difficult for when you need ladder to get to it. I bought a few for security cameras which are placed high above the ground outside reach and the idea was to power cycle cameras in case they lose connectivity, but what I found was that these plugs are losing connectivity way more frequently than cameras do which defeats their purpose. Instead of climbing up the ladders every time one of these goes offline, I started hitting breakers every once in a while. You can access these in the Tapo app which is a plus, but not the other way around. This was not clear at first and I bought some Tapo devices but am now stuck to Tapo app. BUT the biggest downside is that there is NO WARRANTY! One of the plugs started making loud clicking and flashing. Checking help resources was a waste of time as device is clearly malfunctioning. Attempting to use the warranty and get a replacement is EXTREMELY painful and time consuming process! You have to go through bunch of hurdles and demanding steps. During all this time support will NOT tell you at any moment if you even qualify for the replacement even though TP-Link clearly states on their website that the warranty on all smart plugs is 2 years! At some point they will mention you should NOT throw away your malfunctioning device as you will need to ship it to TP-Link?! You will receive bunch of lengthy emails with a lot of text to read most of which looks like a regular sale spam and is there to give them excuse to brush you off in case you didn't follow the process and to waste even more of your time. Then you will have to register on their website, register your product, put in all your personal details, start the RMA for failed product... you still have no clue if it is eligible and if RMA will be approved... and then when you're already neck deep in wasting your time you stumble upon this part between other nonsense: "Return defective product to TP-Link first at your expense. Please label the outside of your package with RMA number XXXXXX. After receiving the product, TP-Link will ship the replacement product back at no additional charge." Seriously?! Even without a discount, the regular price for the EP10 smart plug as of now is lower than the cheapest shipping option through USPS! And your RMA will not be approved until TP-Link receives your garbage and confirms it to be malfunctioning??? Wow to TP-Link for lousy warranty policy! I've had 100x more expensive products replaced based on my word and was told to discard the malfunctioning one as no one wants to bother with them. Take a photo or a short video showing the defect, upload with the receipt and you're good to go. But not with TP-Link :( Finally, it's still a decent product, even with a few details that can all get easily fixed so 1 star goes for that. But the RMA process sucks and another star goes for that. I can live with not having warranty at all, but telling me there is one when in fact there isn't and all the sneaky hoops behind it is what pushes me to never buy a TP-Link product again. ... show more
