I’m very happy with the EIGHTREE 15A Smart Plugs. They worked great right out of the box and feel like a professional-quality product. Setup was quick and simple using both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and the app connection was smooth with no issues. The size of these plugs is just right and doesn’t block other outlets, which is a big plus. I picked this up skeptically — budget smart plugs can be hit or miss — but the EIGHTREE has been genuinely reliable since day one. Setup was quick through the app, and having both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth means it connects even if the network is being finicky. No dropped connections, no phantom switching, just consistent on/off control from my phone. The 15A rating provides sufficient headroom for lamps, fans, and small appliances without any concerns. Scheduling works as expected, and the app is straightforward — nothing is buried in confusing menus. It works with both Alexa and Google Home, which is definitely a plus. If you're already in either ecosystem — or both — it slots right in with no extra hoops to jump through. Voice control just works. At this price point, there's very little reason to overpay for a name-brand alternative. I bought these smart plugs mainly for Christmas, as I had a lot of lights and decorations plugged into the wall and wanted something more convenient and practical to turn everything on at once. Setting them up was quite simple, and I was able to connect them quickly with the app. After setting them up, I could control all the lights from my phone without having to manually plug and unplug things. Now that the holiday season is over, I still use them every day for other things around the house, especially for my bedside lamps and my candle warmer. One of my favorite features is the timer. I program the candle warmer to turn on about two hours before I get home, so when I walk in, everything already has a nice, relaxing scent. It honestly makes the atmosphere feel much cozier. I also have them connected to my Alexa Echo Spot, and they work great with voice commands. Being able to turn things on or off just by speaking has become incredibly convenient for everyday use. So far, the connection has remained stable and I haven't had any disconnection problems. The size is convenient and they feel like good quality. I’m overall very satisfied with these smart outlet plugs. Setup was quick and straightforward—they connected easily, and the app even recognized the device before I had to tap “Add New Device,” which was a nice touch. The UI is intuitive and user-friendly, making the whole process smooth. I also appreciate that there are no unnecessary restrictions on password characters, which is something many apps still get wrong. That said, there are two drawbacks that cost them one star. First, they’re not as compact as previous plugs I’ve used, so they can take up a bit more space. Second, even though my Smart Life app is set to dark mode, the plug setup page ignores this setting and displays in a bright, whitish theme, which feels inconsistent.
