I had all of my notes which included a handful of bullet points, specific things I wanted to include in my review of this product, at the ready and paired up with related media. Realizing I had nothing to say about night vision performance, I ran and grabbed some. I'd never seen captured 'color' night vision, so I was anxious to see the results. The photo I've included depicts exactly that; NO editing was performed. The image was obtained right in the middle of writing this review. Full disclosure, up to this point I was not completely impressed with this device. Several decidedly negative observations had been made. My experience included everything from what seems to be a requirement to start a PAID subscription for cloud access to simple 'head-scratchers'; a used thumb drive was in the product packaging. I don't believe this has anything to do with the camera. The device has a virtual lock in place so there is no way to determine its purpose. That 'color' night vision topic earned a good amount of weight in the end. I am blown away by what this tiny camera can produce. Initially, to share its capability I tried for a simple screen capture. After quickly discovering a still-capture feature within the app, I opted to use that; it functions amazingly well. Although outdoor lighting is obviously in place within the subject area, overall output is poor. Indeed, the sensor performance within this device is responsible for disguising that fact. In reality, the area is quite dark, revealing very little in the way of color to the naked eye. Multiple factors were considered but IMO it is the night vision performance ALONE that earns this device nothing less than four stars.

I've tried 3 or 4 of these small cameras from different places. This is the first one to hit all the marks it claims it can hit. The picture is sharp and clear during the day and decent during the night. Motion detection works with minimal lag time. You can hear and speak thru the device and view it real time on your phone. I say it works surprisingly well, and that's the truth. I didn't expect much out of it and it has surprised me. Running on battery alone it lasts forever. It charges fully and correctly. I don't have anything bad to say about this camera, especially at the current price. A good deal and decent little camera.

This is a very easy to setup and use indoor only camera it can be use hookup to your WIFI or phones hotspot. There is an app that controls the camera that needs to downloaded to the phone first it does have a subscription service to record to the cloud at a cost but not mandatory. The unit comes with a 64g micro SD card that can be upgraded to up to 256g if needed. The unit has a magnetic back and very easy to hide to also has an internal rechargeable battery to run it without plugging in to power sources for most of the day. The unit has color daytime with night vision with a decent picture quality. The unit also has two way communication thru a small internal speaker. The unit is easy to setup with voice prompts also comes with USB-C charging cable and mountable swivel stand. It also comes with a USB micro SD card reader for viewing on laptop or other computer source.

I got this surveillance camera, well, to surveil. I already have a video surveillance system but like to supplement it with the occasional camera. I do like the remote viewing and alert capabilities which this camera is supposed to support. This product came with: * the camera itself * a User manual in reasonably good English * a ball-mount and mounting adhesive patch * a USB-C charging cable, * a USB thumb drive * a 64GB XC micro-SD card [pre-installed in camera SD slot] * and a reset pin I am not computer illiterate – I’m a 35 year software engineer – but I just can’t get the camera to install. I did install V380 Pro app from Play Store – don’t follow the link in User Manual unless you like installing apps from unknown vendors. Creating the account and registering the app was easy. The user manual gives no overview of the process or even what each step really accomplishes. So when the instructions differ from what I see, I can’t figure out how to proceed. Even the on-line video did not match my experience, and was itself tedious because it used a computer generated voice that was hard to understand. Interestingly, the description says, “No installation, more convenient to use.” The USB thumb drive would not work on my Win10 system. The OS tried to install it but it never showed up as a drive letter. The Event Viewer showed this message: “Device USB\VID_14CD&PID_1212\121220160204 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.” The camera does power on and announces: “Camera is starting. Please wait.” Then after probably 10-15 seconds, it says, “Bluetooth is ready. Please scan the QRC code on the camera and wait for the connection.” Scanning the QR Code simply brought up a Note with some V380 installation parameters (I guess). I won’t bore you with all the other things I tried and how it responded. Suffice it to say that I was not successful in getting it to work. The camera itself feels like a quality build and I am still interested in using it, but I just can’t get it to work now. I will likely try again late hen I have more time, but for now I have to give the camera a very low rating.

I have to give this camera a three-star rating for the following reasons: 1. The battery life after being fully charged is very short, and the manual does not specify how long it can be used after being fully charged. 2. Every time I open the mobile app, I receive promotional advertisements. 3. The app does not allow me to check the battery level. 4. Every time I open the mobile app to view the camera footage, the image quality is always standard definition, and I have to manually select high definition quality each time.

Works well some of the times.. but usually it does not work well. It will stay on for a few minutes then shut down completely when you actually need to see it.
