Other reviews are right that it's not where your head is when sitting up, but Herman Miller is right that you shouldn't be using a headrest for that. This works for what I needed: supporting my head when reclining. I'm sure others are nicer, but for half the price of those, this one works for me.

So for half the price of the true headrest, its a fair deal. The connection is good and does not come loose so you won't have the headrest falling off. The height adjustment works, as does the tilt. Time will tell if the tilt tensioner will hold up but as of now it holds great. My biggest issue is with the mesh, i don't care its not the same pattern or design of the actual chair, the color and over-all design match good enough. BUT the tightness or lack their of, is the problem. The netting is meant to be pulled tightly enough to support the weight of your head while having some give. Resting your head on this headrest causes it to sink in a couple inches, its just not pulled tightly enough in my opinion. Will add photos shortly ... show more

seems well made, but like some of the other reviewers noted, there's no way to adjust it to extend further into the chair, to get closer to your neck. before i ordered it, i didn't think that would be a big deal, but yeah, it is. it's fine if you just want to occasionally lean your head back and stare up at the ceiling, but for anyone who wants to rest their head against it (or come close to it) while working at the computer, it's not going to cut it. i considered getting a head rest cushion to extend it further in, but that's more $, and i think a hundred bucks for this is already kind of a stretch for what it's worth. ... show more
