I've been wanting a projector for outdoor movie nights and casual indoor viewing for ages, but the prices of high-end models always scared me away. After doing some research, I decided to take a chance on the TMY mini projector, and I am absolutely thrilled! This little powerhouse has exceeded all my expectations for its incredibly affordable price. Setting it up was a breeze. Straight out of the box, I had it connected to my streaming stick via HDMI and projecting onto the included screen within minutes. The picture quality, especially in a dark environment, is shockingly good. For a projector in this price range, the 1080P support delivers a clear, vibrant image that's perfect for watching movies, sports, or even playing casual video games. We've used it on a 100-inch screen, and the image fills the space beautifully. The portability is a huge plus. It's so compact and lightweight that I can easily move it from the living room to the backyard without any fuss. The built-in speaker is decent for casual listening, but I connect it to a Bluetooth speaker for a truly immersive cinematic experience, which is simple to do. Of course, it's not a $1000 projector, and it won't perform miracles in a brightly lit room – you really need a dark setting to appreciate its full potential. But if you're looking for an ultra-affordable, easy-to-use mini projector for fun movie nights, camping trips, or even just as a secondary display, the TMY is an absolute gem. This projector is SO CLEAR!! Easy to use, and comes with the chords you need. Also was very surprised that it came with the screen. We bought this for my daughter for an outdoor movie theatre party and it's absolutely perfect! Highly recommended!! The video and sound quality are amazing and I played It the first time in daylight with all my lights on and the brightness was still perfect. Plus it's small and easy to carry!! And YAAAAALLLL!! There was an option on the menu that said SURPRISE! When you click it, they give you a web address to receive a free prize! I was shocked, and it worked!! We are getting a FREE roku streaming stick for the projector! This is an amazing company! You will NOT be disappointed!

For the price and size it’s a pretty decent projector that does have a good quality image. The setup wasn’t so difficult within an hour of practice I think I got a good grasp of the functions and I’m not necessarily the most tech savvy. But, there are a few things I would keep in mind. If you want to connect your phone, you either need to have an hdmi phone cord or have a Bluetooth device like chrome cast or fire stick connected to it. The projector’s Bluetooth really only connects to speakers. Also keep in mind of course that the image will show up with indirect/dark lighting indoors, but you need to have complete darkness for outdoor use bc any sunlight even a little after or around sunset will make it hard to see any projection. So it doesn’t have to be nighttime for indoor use, but for outdoor use it does. I’m also not a huge fan of the screen it comes with, the screen is a little small and thin for my liking. I ended up buying a separate screen that supports double the image size bc this projector can produce a much bigger image than the screen it comes with in my opinion. Other than that, this was for sure worth the roughly $40 bucks I paid after all the sales :)

I like these small projectors to use for multiple purposes, particularly for holiday animation. I was very impressed with this projector straight out of the box. It was well packaged for transport inside of a Styrofoam box then a cardboards box. I really like the snap-on lens cap. That is something I haven’t seen before with the smaller projectors. Included is a stretchable, washable screen 80” screen (approx. 70” x 40”), HDMI to HDMI cable approx. 5-foot, power cord, lens cleaning kit, remote control (takes 2 AAA batteries). The unit powered right up to the home screen which is colorful and easy to navigate. I didn’t have any AAA batteries handy, so I used the buttons on top of the unit. A quick section of Movie then the source button (USB, HDMI, Mini SD card) and we were running. The projection is good for about 16 feet with no issues. Another feature I haven’t seen at this level is the Keystone Correction to correct the screen distortion of an unlevel projector. The unit ran very quietly, and the audio quality was good. One may want to add a larger speaker for better quality and there is an option to Bluetooth to a speaker. I did my test in a normal lit room at night and was impressed with the video quality displayed on the wall, quietness of the unit itself and ease of set-up. Overall, I’m very pleased with this little guy. It won’t replace a big expensive projector for throw distance, but at this price point and with the features and quality of the unit, you can’t go wrong. As an added test, I used a Lightning-to-HDMI adapter to my iPad, it worked with no issues. However, the adapter itself is limited and will not transmit content from most of the paid streaming services due to HDCP. Next, I’m going to try adding a Roku USB and playing my paid streaming content through the projector. With a carrying case and a USB Roku stick this would be a fantastic travel projector to take on vacation or trips. Small, lightweight and portable.
