I absolutely LOVE my machine. It makes great tasting coffee. Really helped me cut down on my need to get Starbucks or Dutch Bros. However after getting this machine for Christmas last year it finally stopped working on me. I cleaned it about once a month and used it basically every day. I read the reviews that the machine breaking is a common occurrence so when it happened to me I was disappointed I was going to be stuck ordering a new one. I contacted support today and he confirmed my machine can’t be saved. I never registered by machine so I thought I was out of luck with any kind of warranty however support took care of all of that for me. I now have a brand new machine coming my way thanks to support helping me out. So although the machines longevity sucks the company by far makes it worth it! ... show more

2 months in and still very happy. Previous: Okay going from 1 star to 5 seems like a stretch BUT so far the APP has changed my mind. Without the app you have to lock unlock press for 7 stand on one leg and hop!!! Not really but it seems that way. USE THE APP ... You know how you do should descale? You press the button on the app once, then follow the easy on screen process. The APP WHO KNEW!! I LOVE MY MACHINE NOW. The following is all user unfriendly frustration without the APP. Original Post: Yesterday i read all the directions and I had the Nespresso virtuo prior so I am familiar with the process. (That died because it wouldn't descale.) I bought this as a reward for myself. horrible mistake. I tried setting the cup size, followed all directions. watched videos on youtube. This machine can not make a frothy cup of coffee. I use the Nespresso pods and each rounded cup of coffee only made me made. Now today there is a small puddle under it. I GIVE UP!! ... show more

This is a great coffee maker. Box came with everything- including coffee pods and aeroccino. Machine works really well. Read the instructions manual, prep the coffee maker, insert the pod and you’re good to go. Nespresso coffee tasted better than my previous single serve coffee maker. Super passionate cappuccino latte espresso drinker here. Very upset that I got a bum coffee maker in this product purchase. Had my first Nessy over ten years and loved it. This thing is not the same quality. It’s sad. Obviously they know this product is terrible because they don’t offer exchanges. Refund or trouble shoot on your own. Start with temperature and efficiency. Customer service suggested I heat up the water before adding to the machine or heat up the coffee after making it. Note. It is NOT safe to drink hot water from your water heater!!! If I have to boil water before or microwave coffee after waiting TWO FULL MINUTES to make a single cup, umm NO. If I had extra time to waste every morning I’d go to Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts and have someone else make coffee for me. Really difficult to turn the lock to start the machine, I need to use both hands! Taste and style. The pods are poorly designed. Slippery. Huge. And omg the coffee is so bitter!!! Including “sweet vanilla”. It’s still not sweet after adding 5tsp coffee mate and 3tsp honey and agave. Awful experience after 10 years with my same beloved Nessy. Not sure where the delicious Crema comes from but it ain’t the pods. Now what comes next I am out $100 on espresso pods I tried because they said different pods brewed to different temps so I foolishly opened a few boxes. I will say, the used pod pull out feels cheap but it’s a better design than the Nessy Citiz and will be easier to clean, and probably won’t break if stopped like the Citiz disposable container did. Color. It’s shiny grey (not matte) with shiny fingerprinty chrome trim on top with a flat black plastic body. The Aero is a mismatched glossy black. The cup holder is sooo cheap and matte grey black with sadly painted Breville name across the front. Sound. So much noise it makes up the entire three level house. The dogs are hiding it is so loud. No exaggeration and it’s a few different sounds. Will upload video if I can, couldnt when I tried. Louder than a car. It’s up there with a leaf blower or lawn mower. Who wants to hear that first thing in the morning? I tip toe around and then this thing wakes up everyone. Size. Product is 18” tall when opened so you’re not putting this on a tray with pods underneath if you have a normal kitchen height countertops and cabinets. Doesn’t fit if you elevate it so be ready to remodel or have a separate coffee bar if you’re buying this for some reason. So in summary… Way too loud. Way too slow. Coffee pods are poorly designed and products are disgustingly bitter. Machine doesn’t make HOT coffee, just warm coffee flavored water for you to process into something else. Bad design. Bad coloring of plastic. No exchanges so the seller knows it’s a bad product and doesn’t want to waste their time. Hope you are reading this instead of relying on the number of stars like I did.
