I needed a small practice amp that might not disturb my neighbors (a stipulaion in my lease) yet have good fidelity at low volumes. This is it. The tonal sound is beautiful at even low volume, it has a clean setting, warm setting, and crunch setting. I would use this for recording (it has a recording output) but even if acoustically miked, it has no background noise, just a clean signal. Get it in the package deal with the power source, you will need it. Couldn't be happier.

Little amp. Big sound. I bought this just to have something that I could easily travel with. I wasn't looking for the best quality I could find. Just something that would travel well and produce a decent enough sound. Boy was I surprised. This little fella not only sounds great, but it's louder than I thought something like this could produce running off of batteries. I could busk with this if I wanted to. I used plain old amazon basics rechargeable batteries in it and they go for hours. I had never owned a Boss amp before this one and it encouraged me to buy a full size Katana.

Got a faulty amp. It kept making static noises without any guitar attached. Checked by a guitar centre tech and he confirmed it was faulty. Amazon returned worked fine though.

After a minor altercation where they sent me the wrong amp (not sure how they managed that, it had the wrong box and everything), I finally received my Boss Katana Mini. My first impression was simple; I thought, "WOW, THIS THING IS TINY!" I'd go as far to say it's SMALLER than my will to live! After plugging it in and hearing it sing, all I have to say is WOW, THAT'S A HUGE SOUND FROM SUCH A SMALL, WHIMSICAL BOX! Through my guitar with Seymour Duncan Invader pickups, it has buttery smooth clear tones and aggressively radical high gain voicings! And man, it can get pretty loud! Great amp for practicing and keeping yourself occupied after your wife has left you and taken your kids away also! Totally stoked about this purchase! 5 stars!

The orange 60w amp I got didn't have a headphone jack and I didn't realize it til it was too late. Luckily the sound of the orange makes up for it. Especially since I found this. Knew what I was getting since I did some research already but it has an even better impression in person. Highly recommend this if you need a small portable amp with tons of features and value.
