I just read through a whole lot of other peoples' reviews and I am surprised at any of the negative comments. This is the first time I have ever made bread either by hand or using a machine, so I was prepared to experiment it. In the days leading up to the Neretva arriving, I binged on Bread machine YouTubes. I found the instructions simple and easy to understand with one exception, when can I take the dough out if I want to put it into a different pan or make rolls? I'm sure I will figure that out with a bit.of.practice. I've made 2 loaves so far, one from the recipes provided and one from online, both turned out super tasty, I was delighted. The problem now is going to be keeping my bread consumption in check. Tip: the first loaf I made was a 2lb loaf. I had all the ingredients for a 2lb loaf but ended up making a 1.5lb loaf. That happened because I set the loaf size before I set the program number and when I set the program # it reverted to the 1.5lb loaf setting and I didnt notice. EVen with using ingredients for a 2lb loaf and it only turning out a 1.5 lb loaf size, it was still really tasty, just very dense, which I didn't mind. Some people say that it is noisy. I chose my dishwasher because it was virtually silent, so I'm not the type of.person who likes noisy appliances, but this does not seem noisy to.me at all. No it's not dead silent but.it.is only a gentle sound when it is kneading and not very loud at all. Cleaning is easy. As soon as I tip the bread out, I put Dawn and hot water into the pan about half way up and let it sit for a while to soak off any baked on bits. This also seems to help with removing the little paddle cause 2/2 times it has been super easy. The size is perfect for me, it fits into a corner on my counter so it's small footprint doesn't take up much space while it's cooking for 3 hours. It also fits neatly into a hall cabinet cause I am going tontry to only use.it once a week, so I don't eat too much bread. All in all this little machine was well worth every cent! ... show more

Have baked several breads and so far they have been great. Easy to make, the taste is wonderful. The manual could be a little better, just very basic information. I had to search online to find out how to make banana bread, as there is nothing in the manual and what settings to use. So I guess it may be trial and error to make different types of bread, but I am willing to try. I love the fact that I can make bread in 3 hours versus the standard 6+ hours! ... show more

This is a fantastic bread machine with far more settings than my old machine, and does a better job of preparing my dough. So far I baked a test loaf from the recipes in the book, made two loaves of cinnamon raisin bread, then dough for a rye loaf and a milk bread loaf. I'm noticing with my dough that's transferred to a Pullman pan for the oven, the loaves are coming out a lot more moist and softer. I could likely improve upon these loaves by rolling the dough flat and rolling them into a cylinder for the pan, but just pressing a log down into the pan is still working out fantastic. I also made two pizza crust doughs - this machine works the dough where it ends up with crispy edges and doesn't rise too thick during baking. I did attempt one bread machine cake recipe, but this machine didn't bake that one long enough. I did use the stand alone bake setting which finished it, but due to the gap in baking time, it sank in the middle. It was still a tasty, moist cake, if a bit dense. My husband had no complaints and ate the whole thing. Beware of some recipes - the authors of said recipes don't really tell you how long something should cook in their estimation, and it might turn out a bit undercooked. The chart in the manual for this machine is accurate for what to expect with each cycle. Keep that on hand, because I can tell you the one test bread came out of the manual and it turned out fantastic. We used slices from that loaf for several meals. I've already gotten fantastic use out of this new machine, and I love the look. It's fantastic and I look forward to many years of fresh breads to come. ... show more

The machine in whole is smaller than I expected it to be. But it’s actually pretty nice after I used it. It’s really quiet. I don’t like the white bread recipe in the book, or any of them really, because they all include milk powder. So I didn’t make any from that (yet). In general, it is good. It’s pretty easy to use. I would say it is good if you want a nice looking bread maker. My cons to this: •It gets hot! The entire machine body gets VERY hot when it’s baking. Even the handle, because it’s metal. There could definitely be something to keep it from being so hot to the touch, especially the handle. I’m sure it’s worth adding maybe a silicone handle. •There is no storage/wrap for the plug. There is this long plug, and they didn’t think to add something to wrap it around or put it in for storage?! Or the ability to remove it & store it inside the machine. ... show more
