  • More purple than red, but fit well.
Size: 7.5 Wide Color: Epic Plum/River Blue
December 2022. I bought these for their waterproof, hiking function, but also for the color and price. The picture looks like brick red. (They are described as plum, but I didn't notice til I got them.) They are actually a purple plum, not a red plum. Which is a little disappointing, but I'm more concerned with function, so I will live with the odd color. Came with an extra set of laces! Fit: Got 7.5 Wide. The lasts are flat (don't curve up around the sides of the feet, so even though I prefer Extra Wide, these aren't tight. The insoles are very thick at the heel. If I remove them, the boots are zero drop, which I like, but way too loose. (I could wear 7 regular if wore them without the insoles.) I might try them with different insoles. The soles are a little stiff, compared to my trail running shoes, so I'll have to get used to that. The shaft is flexible though. No ankle support, which is fine. The top of the boot sits about 3" above the ankle bone. Function: I'll update as I use them. The trails are snowy, slushy, icy and puddly. So we'll see how warm and waterproof they are. And how the tread holds up to hill climbs and descents. So for now 4 stars. ... show more

  • Best traction I’ve ever had
Size: 11 Color: Graphite, Deep Rust
I wear a size 10 US women’s, and I went up a size to accommodate thick socks or heat packs. I have Raynaud’s disease in my feet, so I have to keep my toes warm at all times. The 200g insulation in these does the job, my feet have stayed warm in Canadian and northern US winter conditions. The traction is amazing. I don’t know what kind of tech Columbia has come up with, but I was completely secure on my steep, slick driveway. I was wearing a different pair of winter boots earlier that day and had to catch myself a few times, but when I went out later in these, it was like walking on dry ground. I haven’t tested their waterproofness yet, but I have high hopes based on their their excellent warmth and traction. They are also very light, great to take on winter vacations. And if you are like me and don’t bother tying and untying footwear unless absolutely necessary, it’s easy to find the sweet spot that allows them to behave as slip-ons. The only thing I’d change is the color. The black was sold out, so I had to get the gray. It’s fine, nice and muted, but I prefer black footwear. ... show more

  • My tried and true winter boots!
Size: 8 Color: Black, Khaki Ii
I have an old version of these boots from years ago (they have to be anywhere from 7-10 years old) and they are my favorite winter boots. The tread finally started wearing away and I figured it was time to buy a new pair. There are some differences between the old version and the new version. The old version was a mixture of suede and quilted material, these are mostly quilted material. The laces are slightly different and there is no loop on the back near the heel to help get the boots on easier. These new ones are also more furry than the old version. I was nervous after reading reviews that these ran small so I ordered an 8, 8.5 and 9. The 8.5 were very comfortable out of the box, I didn’t even try on the 9 but the 8 were the winner which is my normal size. They were a bit tight but knowing how these boots wear I know they will break in and the fluff will become less fluffy with wear. Still great boots and keep my feet dry and warm during these Michigan winters. I highly recommend these boots! ... show more

  • Best boot ever!! Just size up a a little. Snug fit
Size: 6.5 Color: Graphite, Deep Rust
I had a foot crush injury/ collapsed arch 9 months ago and this is the ONLY boot out of several that I can wear. I will be buying another pair for back-up/barn chores. I sized-up a half size since the bridge of the boot was a snug fit. Also allowing a heavier sock but I don’t think I will need too much heavier then an athletic sock. The Omni heat material is as amazing in their boots as it is in the jackets!!!! No sweaty feet but they sure are warm cozy!! Don’t wait, just buy them!!! You won’t regret it ... show more

  • Cute on the shelf…
Size: 11 Color: Graphite, Deep Rust
These are very cute and a modern take on all-weather boots comparatively. I wear a 10 in boots so I bought a 10.5 which fit comfortably with wool socks, they def felt warm too. What I didn’t like was the shape once I had them on. There’s not a thick sole here and they round up on the side vs. a square edge which made them look a bit like submarine sandwiches! Also I planned to hike in snow so I wanted more protection on the bottom. Obvi snow boots are thicker looking in general but I couldn’t stick with these since they were so mis-shaped looking and minimal. You prob have to try them for yourself to understand and this is simply my take on it. I def love the quality and styles from Columbia overall so I got another style with a thicker frame and sole. ... show more

  • Not as wide wide as hoped and no memory foam.
Size: 9 Color: Currant/Berry Jam
Love the look of these boots in Berry Red, cozy but sadly NO cushioned insoles for my injured left foot, First bought the 8.5 Wide in Black but returned as they were WAY too tight and narrow for my Wide D feet. So ordered Size 9 and some padded foam toe inserts. Plan to wear with thick merino wool socks, so hope I’llI get some use out of these in a cold NW climate but not for pavement walking. Been wearing cushy supportive ASICS Gel Nimbus 16 in 8.5 Extra Wide “running” shoe so hard sole boots will take some getting used to. Once broken in just MAY be able to get a foam padded insole for needed comfort and support. Recommend going a full size up if you have wide feet. Three stars due to only walking on carpet indoors so far so can’t attest to them being waterproof. But they are cute! ... show more

  • Recommend!!
Size: 8.5 Color: Nori, Khaki Ii
Love love love these boots! I just came back from my trip to Finland and these boots were amazing! Kept my feet dry and toasty, good grip, they are so light you don’t even notice you are wearing boots. Also, these are great if you want to go out for drinks or dinner at the end of your day. They are on the narrow side so if you are planning on wearing them with thick socks I recommend getting the wide size, and for hiking shoes I normally get half size bigger either way. ... show more

  • Warm & comfy snowboot
Size: 8 Color: Oxford Tan, Fawn
I was doubtful that these boots would keep my toes warm, as with Raynauds syndrome almost nothing keeps my toes from going numb. But these Columbia boots truly have done the trick! I stood out in 20 degree weather for a Christmas parade and my feet stayed dry and as warm as toast! They are lightweight, very comfortable and pretty! ... show more
