I’m most familiar with Breville machines and have used one almost everyday where I used to work, love them so much, but the cost is $$$ so I took a chance on this one because it had good reviews and had a simular style snd white. (which seems to be unavailable with breville on the lower cost machines now) I’m impressed! for more than half the cost this machine is very comparable! Pulls a very nice shot and has a sturdy steam wand too! My only complaint thus far is when steaming water comes out of the wand before you dial it up and after you dial it down, but it’s a small thing, and most lower cost machines do this so it doesn’t bother me all that much. Not our first espresso machine, we had different brands previously. This is a quality made machine, makes an excellent coffee and milk frother takes a minuet to figure it out, do couple tries before making coffee, but once you get it, again excellent. Fantastic coffee machine. And yes, please understand that 20bar machines are not better. Optimal pressure for coffee is 9bar. I learned recently…. I highly recommend this machine. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Upon opening this espresso machine, I was somewhat skeptical. Primarily due to the much smaller than typical espresso portafilter. My first thought was, this isn't going to work for me because I like my espresso like jet fuel (yet flavorful). However, I'd continued unwrapping all the accessories, washed everything by hand, and ran a few cycles of plain water through the machine just in case. Next, I'd added my usual freshly ground espresso (just some budget friendly espresso beans that I buy from a national retailer) and did a test shot (double). I was absolutely floored by the amount of crema that this gorgeous machine produced (see video). Even after sitting for a minute or so (and taking a sip), the crema was still thick (see final photo). This machine accommodates my usual large coffee cup, but I'd used a clear parfait glass for demonstration purposes. I love the sleek design with classic features (the 50's style metal drip grill and the pressure gauge), combined with modern push buttons. It has the standard on/off button, 2 more for a single shot or double shot, and the milk frother button (and comes with a stainless steel pitcher for that purpose). As well, there is a dial on the right side that controls steam strength. The machine beeps to let you know when it's ready--both in regards to the water being ready for choosing your single or double shot, and also beeps to let you know it's finished. I wasn't sure how well this machine would perform, as I'd never heard of the brand before, but it's very impressive. The crema is abundant and I'm completely thrilled with this machine. The accessories also include a smaller (single shot) portafilter basket and a scoop/tamper combo. The removeable water tank is quite large, so you don't need to add water every time you want a cup of espresso. There's also a neat little cup warmer at the top--not like a hot plate, but rather just some gentle heat. It's also quite heavy and has several rubber pads that grab the countertop. Note that I haven't yet tried out the milk frother, but I have no doubt it will produce magnificent foam. The price point is extremely decent for the quality, appearance, features, accessories, and performance. In fact, considering how cost prohibitive a good quality espresso machine is, it's actually a bargain. In general, I can't find a single thing wrong with this machine. I suppose if there is only one thing I'd change it would be that the white finish is a little brighter, as it looks off-white compared to everything else in my kitchen. But it's not that noticeable and has nothing to do with quality and performance. In conclusion, if you're an espresso lover like me, don't hesitate to order this machine. When they say it's professional grade, they aren't kidding. You will NOT be disappointed. This is my second expresso machine and I love it! It looks so stylish and sleek on my counter. It doesn’t take up a lot of room, yet it has quite a large water tank. Double than my last! It is very user friendly. The directions are straight forward. It comes with a booklet that lays it all out. The espresso tastes better than the coffee shot in my opinion! Just make sure when you buy your coffee you are getting super fine grounds. All coffee grinders are not equal. I’ve had to use Turkish grind at some stores.
